Great venue, quite compact but a nicely positioned stage provides a good view of the stage from a fair way back. Helpful staff and a very friendly if energetic crowd at the gig I went too. Some interesting architecture so worth a look around to see what you can see pro tip - look down in one of the corners. Also a nice small pub with an outdoor section almost literally on the doorstep makes turning up early a pleasant experience.
Cool little venue where I saw some sick bands play. 2 bars, merch stand, 3 toilets 1 gender neutral. Phenomenal sound! The room was packed to the brim so not much movement unless you get in the pit. Even had police show up so... it's safe?
Great venue that has seen a few upgrades in lockdown. I was stood at the front for the recent Eric Gales gig and the stage was a good height, so I didn't feel like I was in the way of the people behind I'm tall!. There was somewhere I could rest a bottle of water as well.
Brilliant place to watch a gig. Not far from Temple Meads Station, within walking distance Great bands booked to play here! very snug and busy at times on the dance floor. Stone floor gets quite sticky under foot through the night with beer. Small pub next door7 stars and seating outside to have a drink before the fleece opens. Large busy bar in the fleece and a separate quicker service bar opposite main bar selling cans of red stripe lager or thatchers cider. £4 /£5 a can. Toilets can be quite disgusting by the end of the evening but always a great night of music guaranteed at the fleece! Definitely will return
Well worth the 90 minute drive, free street parking just 5minutes walk ,situated in an old lamb wool warehouse in town centre. The Fleece has a well stocked bar with friendly staff, and clean toilets.Erasured started off the nights entertainment and were exceptional ,they certainly got the place jumping sounding just as good as there name sakes .Duran UK followed and as usual treated the crowd to a great set .Will definitely be going there again.
Great live venue for local bands. Also home to a number of international stars as well Opens up into a nightclub after live events - good place to meet new people and soak up the culture of Bristol
Took my good last to see the Prince tribute band. The band were excellent, the venue was full to capacity and bouncing. Service at the bar was very speedy and the staff were great. The venue is hidden away a little and there is some limited parking close by. More parking facilities within easy walking distance though. The security staff were present and not obtrusive. A really pleasant experience and we will be going back there. Great night, good staff and good service.
Great venue for entertainment, attended for Sigrid Record Store Tour. Only downside was how sticky the floors were, then again, it's a club, so what do you expect.
The Elton John night was amazing. He was so good and worth the £16 entry fee. Your bar staff were also brilliant, served us fast. Still not to keen on the cup charges, but understand why you do it. Nice one Fleece!!
Can't believe I've been this long in Bristol and only just seen Doreen Doreen- they're amazing! The Fleece is a fantastic venue, simple set up in many ways but does what it needs to well. You can get a good view of stage throughout, the sound fills the room and your head without that annoying excessive bass you can get that can stop you enjoying/ hearing the music. Plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options behind the bar. Coat check, it does get warm in there, and loads of loos. Easy to walk to from the centre. If you haven't already, pick a gig abd get yourself here and support a local independent venue
