I am so very, very happy with the service provided by The Flame Academy!!! Helen Jardine has designed and created my new lounge. She has designed, sourced, delivered and fitted it all to an exceptionally beautiful standard. From the furniture, the fireplace, the glitter wallpaper, right down to the cushions - they are all of such high quality materials and were installed with amazing ease - she made it all trouble free. More than highly recommended!! Thanks Helen xxx

Helpful and brilliant service. After a very child-friendly visit to the shop, Helen, Derek and Craig sourced parts, and then expertly refurbished our living room fireplace. Job was done with pride, and they really went the extra mile to sort things out for us. Would recommend. (photo is before plasterer came)

Helen is a lovely lady, cannot help you enough. I'm really pleased with my fire and she is even changing the facia for me, so that it looks even nicer. My parents also had a full fire installed 12 months ago and haven't stopped saying how great it is.... thanks Helen and all at Flame Academy, highly recommended. x

Do not go to this shop. Bought glitter wallpaper which was faulty. The owner Helen blamed the decorator for the marks in the paper. The decorator paid me the money back so I bought the paper off her again and asked her for her best decorator(this took 3weeks). The new paper was put on by an amazing decorator called Pete. As the paper dried the faults in the paper was becoming more and more clear. Helen came to my home and said how sorry she was and that she had been on the phone to her Chinese wholesaler and that they are replacing my 13meters of fabric glitter wallpaper for free. She said if it's not right then she can give me a refund. She then went on to say that she would keep me updated. 17 days went by and I had not heard a thing from Helen, please bare in mind I spent a total of £420 on the paper and £210 on her decorators. After the 17 days I asked if they had forgot about me in which she said "no they are sending the goods out on 10th February and it will take 2 weeks from that date to arrive as its from China, I'm just going to cut my losses and go to a new supplier il get in contact with you tomorrow" I left it another week and tomorrow never came. By this point I have lost all trust in the shop as I first went in the shop mid November and paid for it and it's now been over 8 weeks and I have sat here with large stripes going along my walls and different in colours. After the week I told the that enough is enough and I want my money back. She then went on to tell me that they had done another ladies house last week using a new supplier and it was perfect. She sent me photos (why someone else had priority over me I don't know) she then sent me photos of the roll of paper that I first had done saying "it wasn't just yours look the whole roll is like that" which means Helen knew for a long time that it was not the poor decorators fault in the first place but let him take blame and give me the money. After arguing on the phone Helen agreed that in the morning when she gets in she would give me a full refund. There was no money from her in my account. She then called me and said that she had put half of the money into my account and I will get the other half when she gets the wallpaper back off the wall. I looked in my account and she had only put in £130 that would only cover the cost of the second decorator. I called and said there is not even half in my account, I don't trust you anymore you are not taking paper out of my house as you have had more than a month to sort it and nothing has been done. (By the way incase you don't know which I didn't and didn't get warned the paper is that heavy it rips the plaster off the wall) I have been sat with bad walls for 8weeks and I'm not willing to sit with bare walls and plaster coming off and my middle child has asthma. After me calling trading standards I am told that they are liable to give me a full refund. Helen would rather I took her to the small claims court which is exactly what I plan to do. Awful experience causing terrible stress and cost a lot of money. Untrustworthy company. Never again.
