Such a great fitness center! All of the instructors are extremely nice and helpful. Great variety of classes and inviting atmosphere. The top floor gym is on the smaller side and doesn't have a ton of machines, but it's not usually super busy which helps. The classes are definitely the best part in my opinion though. Highly recommend!
Good gym but I think mostly for classes. I don't use the free weight rooms – they look pretty small. I was unsure if I wanted to sign up but they let me come in and walk around to scope out the place, so that's a pretty good way to see if you'd be into the gym or not. They have a decent amount of classes, but would be nice to have earlier classes available for those who live in the area but work elsewhere. They kind of need to sort out their mic situation in some classes though, it's fine because I'm used to it, but there's a couple times in Body Pump when the mic broke and if I was new to the class/gym I'd be pretty put off.
The short: Join here if you enjoy a variety of classes but minimal to no customer service from management, small gym floor, high prices, and minimal consistency in classes and instructors. If you want any sort of consistency or do not need the extensive array of classes, there are many other cheaper and better options for you. Quick shout out to Joseph Proops. who reviewed at 5 stars - who is the service manager of the gym. The long: I have been a member of this gym since it opened and had turned a blind eye at the beginning to the management of the gym, the changes of classes, the changes to the gym floor, and last minute instructor changes. After a couple of years plus of being here I can honestly say the management is not customer focused and change their classes frequently, without giving much notification to the users. They have started to introduce seasonal timetables, their way of having a reason to change classes every 3 months, which of course has an impact if you have a regular class routine. On the few occasions I have had to contact the class manager and the service manager, the class manager was completely unresponsive and the service manager was unwilling to add class passes to my account requested by me as they cut 2/3 of the classes I would have attended even though I have been a customer since the start. I even had to remind him I could transfer my membership when he said he could do nothing for me as he stuttered through the conversation. Though, I'm sure someone will respond to this post to maintain a good front for potential customers. In the time I have been here: There has been a time when I have been charged twice on my card for a yearly membership within a month period, a time where an instructor did not show up for class, and a time where the class was changed mid-class. None of these did I receive a response I felt was appropriate if I received any at all. There have been many disgruntled gym users and instructors very happy to see the back of this place and now I will be added to that long list.
The Fitness Mosaic is fantastic. I've been to some great class with fab teachers who work you really hard. The facilities are clean, unique with a great juice bar and smart. I love the fact it's an independent gym rather than a chain as I really feel I'm getting a more personal experience. The staff are so helpful - Joanna at reception is a pleasure to deal with when you need some advice about food or dietary plans - and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to become fit and generally healthy overall.
I decided to try this using their free trial scheme, as it was very close to my apartment. When we entered, it was very unclear what we had to do to redeem our trial. We tried punching in our code into the fingerprint reader and a lady came out of the office and was quite abrupt with us, as if it was obvious what we needed to do. For our first contact with any member of staff, it was completely shocking that Fitness Mosaic thought that greeting potentially-paying customers in that way is a good business model... Baffling. The reception area should at least have someone visibly there to guide people, rather than sitting them in an office behind a closed door. We both felt the service was very rude from the outset. In the gym itself, there is a very small weights area on the ground floor, massive space for group classes on the second, and a medium sized space on the third with more weights. I would not recommend this gym if you are wanting to just gain muscle mass - the equipment is very limited. Similarly, there is no space whatsoever to use free-weights. It's advertised as "fully equipped", but this would only be the case if you were there alone! They don't have varied chest machines, or even simples bars to dip from. There are only a couple of benches to use free weights, and although we went at a quieter time, I can imagine it must become frustrating to use this gym at peak times with such limited resources. Overall, I really wanted to like this gym, but the lack of basic equipment, space for free weights, rude staff, and high prices considering are not worth a second visit. I am sticking to EasyGym for now. I recommend management employ friendlier staff, and consider reshuffling the layout to provide more space for resistance training over classes.
Good value for money for a boutique gym given the location. Lots of equipment and good classes constantly on offer. Nice staff and the members are a good bunch unlike the meatheads you find at most gyms.... Gym floor is a bit crammed from all the equipment so not much space to do your own thing but the gym doesn’t overly crowded even at peak hours. Main drawback is that it closes at 10pm.
Really great gym, staff and instructors are friendly, knowledgable and really motivational and the classes are excellent. Good range of equipment and it only ever seems really busy early on in the week. Good little smoothie bar too. I only left as I moved out of the area but The Fitness Mosaic has certainly set the bar high for my next gym.
Have been using the gym for 8 months - absolutely loving it. Friendly helpful staff, reasonable amounts of people - able to get a piece of equipment in a small amount of time even during the peak hours. The team is great at communication and handled the lockdown very gracefully freezing all memberships and giving timely updates and alternatives to the onsite classes. Although the place it not huge, it has all the necessary equipment and if some exact machine is not present, the staff would help to adapt the exercise using the existing tools.
Very friendly staff and clean gym with easy-going environment. Before the second lockdown, I was charged a monthly membership fee, and they rolled my remaining days on to the period after the lockdown free of charge. Better service than I received at my previous gym which cost £20 more per month.PositiveProfessionalism
The trainers are great and the classes are good, with plenty of class times, but the quality of equipment is pretty low for the price you pay. I was a member for about 7-8 months because of the proximity to work. Customer service isn't great, had my bike tyres slashed outside and discovered this at 8pm and despite two cameras neither trained on the right place and they wouldn't even let me leave my bike somewhere inside to collect in the morning despite telling them this is normally a ploy for thieves. When you cancel you have to cancel on the last day of your membership otherwise you lose access for the rest of the month, I tried to cancel a week before to make sure direct debits sorted and they said there's no away around this so I left early and didn't come back. Pretty sure they're flouting consumer rights with this as you pay in advance for 'a months unlimited visits'...
