An amazing sea-side restaurant that serves locally sourced seafood in Newquay. We came here for dinner during our visit in Cornwall in the late November. Although in the low tourist season, the restaurant was fully booked on the Monday evening. Luckily, we booked in advance, so highly recommend to plan ahead your visit. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant is cutely decorated. There’s enough space between neighbouring tables, so you won’t overhear other’s conversations involuntarily. The food was great - I can tell all the seafood was very fresh and at good quality. The downside was the main dish - the hake with mashed potatoes was a bit too salty for me, but I still enjoyed it with the seasonal vegetables to balance off. My favourite was the seafood sharing platter and the dessert - vanilla pans cotta. High recommend for anyone visiting Newquay and will visit again!
Really nice and fresh food. We had a luck to get a table last Sunday and we really enjoyed. Food, service and wine spot on. Not that expensive as I would expect. Highly recommend
Beautiful food served by happy staff. The views whilst eating our dinner were thoroughly enjoyed by our family. We came much earlier than booked and they managed to accommodate. Will be returning!
Easily my favourite restaurant in Cornwall, in fact, my favourite restaurant in the country. I've been here multiple times now and it is always absolutely impeccable! The food is incredible, the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, the restaurant team is very friendly and the cocktails are fantastic - by far the best old fashioneds around - The Fish House is the epitome of seafood restaurants and never disappoints, highly recommended!
Delicious, superb atmosphere, very friendly staff, and on top of it all, Dog friendly in the day! Because this little gem is so popular, but small, remember to BOOK UP EARLY! We waited 2days for a reservation, and it was worth its weight in gold. This is a must have visit when visiting Newquay. Fish Finger Sandwich starter Pictured This was big enough to be a main for sure! Side of chips, and away you go! Unfortunately, the food was so good, we didn't take a picture of our main meal. I must return and try everything else on the menu! This is now a life goal. I'm going to be dreaming about this one for a while.
If you like seafood, you won’t be disappointed. I love the scallops with shells, king prawns, monkfish. Cocktails and desserts are delicious as well. Service is fantastic, professional, friendly, attentive. To me, this is the best restaurant in Newquay. The sea view and sunset are gorgeous!
Such good food! Already booked to come back again ! I did go back again and this time I took pics and wow it was so good! They are also dog friendly for their lunch service which was amazing and definitely a plus for me.
Very nice view from the restaurant overlooking Fistral beach. We did not have a reservation but the lady at the entrance told us we could have a table outside for an hour and could only have a main. Our actual waitress was nice enough to let us order a starter as well and we actually finished within the hour but food was not more than average.
We had the culinary pleasure to eat here for lunch as our holiday came to an end. I had the starter portion of their shellfish main and my goodness it was a pile of happiness! Beautifully seasoned and served with some focaccia. I recommend also a side of the garlic rosemary potatoes! Will definitely return
Amazing local seafood cooked with passion you can taste! Excellent servers with the perfect balance of attentiveness but leaving you to enjoy the flavours whizzing around your palette! All served in a great location with beach views to blow your mind! 10/10 would highly recommend and can’t wait to return soon!
