Story

The Finer Detail, Specialist Bridesmaid Retailer, opened in January 2009 and has gained an excellent reputation for both the level of customer service and the choice of dresses available in store. We have over 300 styles in store to choose from and all of our dresses are available to order in a wide range of colours.

Our new venture, The Bridal Suite, opened in September 2015 and offers the same level of customer service we have become renowned for and an exquisite range of bridal gowns. Operating on an appointment only basis we give each party exclusive access - allowing you to choose your dream gown in a calm environment.

Very disappointed with a recent visit to The Finer Detail. From the outside and on entry it looked amazing and I had extremely high hopes. The consultant asked who the bride was but failed to ask the bridesmaids their names. We were simply given tags to hang over the hangers of the dresses we liked. There were 4 bridesmaids - varying in sizes from size 8 to size 16. At no point were we asked what sizes we normally wore or anything like that. It was expected that we were all to fit into the same dress sizes. Very difficult to get an accurate feeling of what a dress will look like when it’s 2 sizes too small and equally 2 sizes too big! When in the fitting rooms the consultant would just pull the curtain open. At no point did she ask if it was ok to come in or if we were ready for her to come in. She simply pulled the curtain back and came in. This is a horrible feeling. Don’t get me wrong - the dresses were lovely. A bit expensive; but lovely. We went on to a different bridal shop in the afternoon where we were all asked our names and sizes. This was in a whole a much better experience. I won’t be recommending The Finer Detail to anyone.

Lovely store, lovely staff, and an amazing range of bridesmaid dresses.  After a days bridesmaid shopping my sister finally had a reason to smile when we got here, they let us slide our appointment by 1 hour to an earlier slot as we were way ahead of schedule.  Definitely recommend these girls for bridesmaid dresses!!
