Went to buy a pair of shoes to attend my daughter's congregation at uni. Staff was very helpful in attending to my choice of shoes.
Chaos. Truly chaos. Of course it is because of the time of year it is and the staff are so patient and accommodating however having been told for years and years that kids shoes HAVE to be Clarks I give up and will be going elsewhere. My elder doesn't like the styles and my younger who was measured by the staff had to change shoe size four times before I gave up and went with what she was already wearing. I don't expect they'll last because the size is definitely wrong. Again, staff fine, but I'm just "over" Clarks in general.
Staff incredibly helpful. My partner was trying to find wedding shoes. He needs a very wide fit and has been having trouble finding a good pair of shoes to fit. Gary was incredibly patient and helpful and brought out every size asked for. We have been trying for a year to find shoes and we found them here.
its one those old fashion high street shops the kind your mother would take you to for school shoes. Comfortable shoes not trendy but sort reliable family wearing shoes. Great shop good customer care one those brands always does well.
If you're the type of person who likes when multiple members of staff flock to you trying to be helpful, you'll enjoy the experience. If on the other hand you like to calmly walk around the store and just see what's on offer, this may not be the place for you. The store is bright and clean, the staff are doing their best, I cannot fault either one or the other. Having said that, every time I'm there the shop is empty few to no customers but for 4 - 5 staff members who stand in the middle and latch onto any customer who walks in. I started avoiding going to this shop because the atmosphere inside just feels a bit tense and desperate.
Great service . Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Didn't have the size we wanted in store but ordered it online for us. 10 out of 10.
Not happy about the service I received in Argyle street store. Ordered some shoes online and had to take one back as one pair was tight compared to the other pair, both shoes had a noticeable different fit, one tight and one really lose. The sales assistant was speaking to me as if i’m stupid and kept saying that one shoe is bigger because it’s a display shoe but then also said that shoe colour is only available online, contradicting herself. If it’s only available online then why you saying its a display shoe, don’t just assume this. The shoe fit wasn’t down to that at all, it was defective. Since I ordered two shoes off the same style, one was fine the other pair wasn’t and she thought she knew better than the person who has tried the shoes on! Attitude was patronising and not nice. When she went to order the replacement eventually after trying to be-little, she said I need to pay more as the shoe price had increased lol, I was like are you having a laugh! I had to return the shoe due to a faulty fit and you’re telling me to pay the increase when it’s not my fault! If it wasn’t for the manager over hearing and sorting it out, it would have been irritating having to sort that out too. I think this sales assistant was called Morven, I would avoid this patronising person. Learn to listen to what the customer is saying. We’re not stupid people. I know when an item is defective, i’ve paid full price for something so why should I keep an defective item for someone who suffers with arthritis it’s a must that the shoes are a comfortable fit. Don’t try fool someone into keeping the uncomfortable pair and use a patronising be-little tone. Don’t do that to someone else, be kind and listen.
I chanced upon seeing in window a Sale was on. I get overwhelmed by display, and because I take a wide fitting I asked a female staffer if they could look up my size on their tablet. This made the whole process so much easier, and I found a great pair of shoes and they made a sale instead of me walking out dejected. Really helpful
Very busy store its back to school soon. However we got our ticket and where seen within 5 minutes despite there being loads in the children department. Lady who dealt with us was fantastic. My son is autistic and kept taking himself to the stairs. I'm assuming it was due to the noise. Me being aware that their store was very busy was worried about holding the lady up however she was fantastic. Not at any point did I feel we had to rush my son. She got him measured and we where struggling to find the correct shoes for him due to him now being junior sized. Picks 1 even though we weren't very happy with the the selection he still needs shoes. When the lady came out not only did she have these but she brought a pair that hadn't been on display and said she thought it sounded like what I'd described and she was correct. Over the moon with her, the service and the shoes we got where not expensive at all. Thanks guys for a pleasant experience
