Was a great walk and the dogs loved it. We came during the rain and the falls were raging. Would love to see them less forceful during dryer weather.

A lovely set of waterfalls, as the river Ure drops down 3 major falls and a number of smaller ones. The upper falls are very close to the car park whilst the lower falls, the best ones in my opinion, are a short walk east through some lovely woodland on well marked paths. It's a bit of a scramble down to get below them, but nothing troubling for someone of average fitness, and you can see them from above with no trouble at all.

Stopped here on my motor bike for a rest and thinking about going in but was nicely but firmly told I couldn't just sit there without using the facilities. Went without going in and wouldn't dream of going back.

Beautiful location. Be aware that the car park you come across when you turn off the main road is not the car park at the falls themselves. Keep driving down the steep road, over the bridge and round the bend and you come across another car park next to the visitors centre. This saves having to walk down (and up) the very steep and narrow road.
