A very welcoming restaurant with plenty of seating options, a bar and friendly staff. Service can be an issue at times depending on how many staff are working. It can get busy as it has always been a popular place to eat. Accessible for dining for one or large groups. Typical harvest menu and offers. Good location with some good local walks near by.

We booked on line the night before for Sunday breakfast. This process was easy enough. On first impressions, the venue was attractive and reception in the main lounge area was pleasant with comfortable furnishings and snug areas. Unfortunately, the experience thereon was downhill all the way. We were walked over to the back of the building and sat in a tired eating area with a canteen feel to it. The orange juice was more water than orange and indicative of things to come. The food was barley warm, and the vegetarian sausages tasted like cardboard, Linda McCartney they were not. In fact, all the ingredients, right down to the sauces not being HP or Daddies, were of inferior quality made worse by the half-hearted effort to make it edible. We complained to the waitress who was polite enough but she couldn’t work out how to take 20% off the price so we got out PG tips for free instead. We will not be returning and will give The Good Honest Food Company in Allesely village a try next time.

Arrived at 10 this morning. We were shown to our table promptly and waited a good 10 minutes without being served. We finally got fed up with waiting so went to get some toast and coffee. There wasn't any bread and had to wait 5 minutes to get the attention of a staff member. She didn't apologise just turned and walked away. We then tried to get coffee but there was no cups so waited another 5 another few minutes for cups. Again no apology. Went back to our table and waited at least 10 minutes for the waitress to take our order. Received my breakfast and my sausages looked raw and only received 1 poached egg and the other half day through my breakfast. We will never go to a harvester again. Disgraceful!!!!!!

A very popular place. Fresh salad bar and good food. Service is also very good.

The food is nice but very expensive for what is essentially a pub grub venue. The choice isn't particularly extensive either. I've eaten the same food at less than half the price elsewhere. There's no choice of a roast for Sunday either. Good if you don't mind paying more for it. I doubt I'll return. It wasn't a bad experience, just too pricey.
