Held my husband's celebration of life at Hogan's restaurant. Anna, the manager was very helpful and the staff were very attentive. The food was phenomenal, and plentiful. Their event menu selection catered to everyone's dietary requirements, which was important to our party. Dietary restrictions: The menu was able to cater to the gluten free/celeriac allergy /vegetarian persons in our group.
Most impressed! My wife and are very grateful that we chose Hogan's for our 19 person gathering. From the get-go Anna and her staff were most accommodating. Multiple calls/visits to prep for our gathering were handled with pleasure, patience and the highest level of accommodation, and at no extra charge!.... Beautiful table decor flowers, candles, runner, charger plates etc., custom printed priceless menu's to ensure our guests felt comfortable ordering what they really wanted, table configuration options, coat service, and most importantly our choice of one of two dinning rooms at no additional charge!!!. The Makenzie Room was very pretty. The food was wonderful as expected and was also simultaneously served on-time throughout the entire evening. Anna and her team John, Sebastien and Tony we're great. Again, thank you very much for everything and we'll certainly see you soon. All the best!
I had my micro wedding reception dinner at Hogan's in Sept 2023. Every stage of the process with them was pleasant, and Anna and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to ensure a perfect evening. The planning meetings were easy and Anna had many helpful suggestions. We had many beautiful spots to take photos, and had the rose room and patio to ourselves. The table was beautifully set up and looked amazing with the place settings. Everyone loved the food, it was spectacular and we were all full at the end of the night. The service was excellent and we were well-accommodated. Thank you so much Hogan's for helping us have the perfect wedding celebration!
Definitely a 5 star experience. Undeniably even. The food was really good, service was perfect and the entire feel of the place felt rich and picturesque. They’ve converted a home into a beautiful restaurant and definitely take their craft seriously. Highly recommend for a dinner date or birthday gathering!Food: 5/5

My family had the pleasure of hosting a 60th wedding anniversary party at Hogans, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the moment we started planning, the entire staff went above and beyond to make our day truly special. They tailored every detail to our exact specifications and then some. The food at Hogans was nothing short of amazing. Everyone at the party was blown away by the culinary delights served. The chef's talent and dedication were evident in every dish, and their ability to accommodate various dietary restrictions was greatly appreciated. I must give special thanks to Anna, Sebastian, Tony, John, and Chef for their outstanding service and hospitality. Hogans is the perfect venue for hosting any event, and they truly made our celebration a memorable one. Highly recommended!
Overall, we had a pretty good experience. Honestly I had very high expectations as many close friends recommended it. The food was average, but overpriced. $17 is too much for a bowl of mushroom soup, unless leprechauns foraged magical fairy mushrooms that same morning to make the soup . $17 is also too much for an average tasting and sized Caesar salad. The upstairs patio atmosphere was nice. A bit loud from the major intersection a stone's throw away, and the regular passing of the Go train.
This place is underrated and definitely deserves an overall 4.5+ rating. From bread to appy to main to desert, all the food items we tried at the restaurant were very on point in terms of taste, freshness, temperature and seasoning. The bread had a very crunchy exterior while the inside and soft and fluffy-this is an intricate balance not easy to achieve. The pineapple shrimp had a taste of fire but sweet and savory and very appetizing. The beef bourguignon was 5/5- while everything else met expectations the taste of this definitely exceeded my expectations. The sides it came with may have been a 3.5 in comparison in terms of flavorfulness but did pair fine with the rich taste of the beef. The baked mascorpone cheese cake was fine, what you would expect of a cheesecake and goes well with coffee. The fruits on the cheesecake was very fresh like other ingredients they have used throughout. Wait staff were pleasant and service was great and on par with most fine dining restaurants. The restaurant was classic and homey at the same time. It has a comfortable and welcoming vibe with sophistication in the details. I would look forward to come back to try more dishes next time.
Been coming here for years and it's my favorite local spot. Me and my wife spent our 7 year anniversary here last night and it was absolutely amazing! The food, service, and ambiance was excellent. Thank you to our server Nico, and Anna, the owner, we had a great night!Food: 5/5
Fantastic from start to finish. Anna, our server, was warm and welcoming. The food was tremendous Cornish Hen + Rack of Lamb. Ambience was elegant, though in an inviting way. Overall wonderful first experience, will be coming back.
