A nice local pub. We went for Sunday Roast. Food was good and the bnd start in the afternoon.
We popped in on a Sunday to meet friends. Good beer, nice staff, and the food my friends ate looked amazing. Huge portions! A World Cup match was on and after there was a small jazz combo. Heaven.
Nice atmosphere : warm and Cosy. with great beer selection! Great Sunday roast Board games, and very clean
A lovely little local with friendly staff. Went for the Sunday roast around 2pm and the result was mixed, overall the roast was a decent portion with amazing gravy, and bonus points for some of it coming in a jug, but the chicken was dry and the lamb a little dry and a little overcooked for my liking and we didn't get any cauliflower cheese.
Nice pub and atmosphere, but not a great roast. 1. Beef is billed as ribeye, if it is ribeye it's not the best of cuts 2. I asked if it was cooked medium rare, was told it was, and it turned up grey. Would have changed to pork if they were honest. 3. The Yorkshire pud was pretty burnt. 4. The cauliflower cheese had no cheese. Lastly the mushroom and nut wellington was a joke. Puff pastry on a pile of veg.
My favourite local, great well priced pints and friendly staff. All round good vibes! Food was slightly disappointing but atmosphere makes up for it!
My favorite pub in the Homerton area. Affordable, unpretentious, and welcoming for all. They do a decent roast and have live jazz on a Sunday afternoon which is always a treat. A great place to meet cute dogs too
This used to be a very nice neighbourhood pub and many folks still seem to enjoy it. The lady working the bar was lovely, however... maybe it's a sign of the times that some of the staff had too much time hovering around the tables, constantly clearing glasses, removing the parasols wordlessly just as it started to rain we know they were going to close soon, but still, frantically wiping tables as soon as anyone got up to leave they were nevertheless sticky. My friend got a weird remark for asking for another napkin and not ordering a drink she already had one and we were sharing a pizza. For a relaxed night this doesn't make. Shame as this was one of the few places where I'd even just go for a drink on my own occasionally, but the atmosphere has changed.
We had a lovely Sunday dinner, the portions were great, as was the service and drinks! Joyce was very accommodating!
Very clean toilets, and central location
