For lunch and dinner, there are lighter bites, with deli deal options and vegetarian choices, gourmet burgers and freshly made pizzas. Wetherspoon has championed a wide range of drinks, including real ales, craft beers, gins and soft drinks. Table service is available via the Wetherspoon app, using our unlimited free Wi-Fi. Maybe not the best looking spoons from the outside, pleasant enough when your inside. Busy Monday night, the pub is on two floors with a terrace on the 1st floor. Had to ask for a table wipe but was done straight away, staff were busy. Food came out quickly and was of a good standard, bonus for the seasoning on the stake. Enjoyable Called in Wednesday night for dinner, had the three basket chicken sharer, had to wait 40 minutes for our spicy chicken wings, chicken strips and chicken bites. Poor ladies were rushed off their feet, could see they were under pressure so didn’t complain. Went on a quite Thursday morning for breakfast very fast service and food was fine, egg maybe just a little dry
Cheap drinks great staff. One really polite girl in particular from Congo. Found me seats and told me if I need anything to call her and she kept her word sorry for my group getting too drunk.
I was here a few weeks ago, so apologies for not posting sooner. What a great place. The pub itself is pretty good, but the staff here were just amazing - they just seemed genuinely happy and sincere when asking how you were etc and were always smiling. Just fantastic in this day and age. The pub was clean and tidy and the staff worked very efficiently. There was an upstairs areas with an outdoors section up there as well. Also a semi covered area as you enter to keep you out of the elements before you get inside. The Guinness was excellent.
The pros of Wetherspoons are consistent: low-price reliable drinks and food - hence an automatic three star minimum. So in most cases the only real differential is the location and how much character it has… in the case of Hackney that is limited. On the plus side, it is a large Wetherspoons, so getting a table should not be too difficult, and there are two outdoor spaces: a courtyard just inside one of the entrances and a “garden” patio upstairs. The staff were a mixture of enthusiastic/eager to please and robotically tired of a thankless task. Fingers crossed you get here the former. But as usual, if you are looking for a cheap pint or meal in unfussy surroundings, you can’t go wrong here. If you found my review or photos useful, please leave a thumbs up Thanks!
Been coming here since a teen and the place & mens toilets! is definitely in need of some renovations/refurbishments. However, I'm leaving 5 stars as our most recent weekend visit was amazing thanks to Keisha's I hope i have her name right hospitality! She was very attentive to our table on top of rushing around dealing with the bar/upstairs by herself. There was also a guy rushing around serving who didn't serve us personally but we could see they were both hard workers. They kept the food/drink orders out in a timely manner on top of clearing tables/empty glasses. Hope management know that you are great at your job and thank you for helping us celebrate my aunts birthday. Great staff are what helps a bar/restaurant thrive and know that our group really appreciated your customer service!
I like it here as it has a real community feel. Can be a little noisy at times, so we often sit upstairs as it's a quieter but this section closes at 10pm and you have to leave the area and retreat downstairs. Lovely friendly staff and of course good value for money and if your looking to for a casual hangout or fun with your mates, this is the place.
Its one of my favourite Witherspoon's in London, lovely staff and friendly crowd.
Great place and good prices on drinks, very friendly service.
I am a regular customer of spoons all over London, Baxters court has been my local for more than 5 years, staff are fantastic and there have been many changes to management over that time. The pub is great and a lot of good regulars. The thing that annoys me most is the floor service, it seems that is forgotten, on a busy night, tables are full of empty glasses and dishes for a considerable length of time even after customers have left, where are new customers supposed to sit, at dirty tables? Please pay more attention to this as it just let's the place down. Another important improvement would be a refurbishment of the gents toilets as they are absolutely not fit for purpose, more regular cleaning might at least help. On a positive note, beer is good, food is what you would expect in spoons and staff are generally helpful and pleasant. A little bit of love goes a long way
Bar service is very good, food takes a little while but on the whole a really good spoons. The Asian manager is very friendly and welcoming and really looks after the customers here. Well done.
