We came for lunch to meet friends. It was a table of 8 people. Initially wrong salad was brought out. We ordered the tomato and red onion salad. What we were served was a bowl of shredded red cabbage. No onion or tomato in it at all. We informed the staff Who simply said I’ll let the kitchen know. It was not rectified and we were still charged. We ordered desserts and were then informed that the cream brûlée that 4 people had ordered hadn’t set!! Generally disappointing which is such a shame as the staff and venue itself were lovely
Pub with rooms was the first sign I saw when we walked in. Sounds quite basic but don't be fooled, it's a lovely combo that works really well. The rooms are functional with very comfy beds. Food and drinks on tap. The pub shuts on time to allow proper rest and the rooms are quiet. Topped off with great service and a lovely breakfast. Perfect! Rooms: Comfy beds. Has most things you need. Basic bedroom connected bathroom but serves its purpose well. Despite location of the rooms near a road, our stay was peaceful. Food & drinks: Pub fair but with little extras that make it stand out. The snacks and starters selection have interestingly accommodating flavours. Good selection of mains along with a few pub favourites.
We stayed at the Eaton Oak for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, well-equipped, and modern. The pub is in a great location for anyone travelling in the local area as it is easily accessible and has plenty of parking. Breakfast was very tasty and you could tell the ingredients were well-sourced, although we were disappointed by the missing black pudding. We also ate dinner here which was delicious, and the service from Maddie was very friendly and attentive. There's a good selection of drinks and the bar/dining area is modern yet cosy. We will definitely try to visit again soon!
Great place. Food excellent and service amazing. Went for a birthday meal at lunchtime on a Saturday, looked after by Maddie who was brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Also a shout out to Cheryl who attended us while Maddie was on her break. Will definitely visit again Service: 5/5
Visited this gorgeous place 11th May 2024 for my Big Sisters 60th. We were greeted by the lovely staff Jacob and Maddie. What 2 wonderful hosts they are. Nothing was a problem, attending our every need , spot on customer service skills. Had a fab experience, with food that equally was just as great. Thank You to the Chefs. Clean toilets , spotless premises, decent clean cutlery . Beautiful atmosphere. Please visit you won't be disappointed.
The service here is exceptional. Every staff member we have come across have been so friendly whilst very professional. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food is AMAZING. Love the decor and the whole vibe of the place. We are staying overnight and we are very happy with the room and the bathroom is lovely. The bed is so comfortable. We were served by Maddie and Katy during our meal and they were incredible. Thanks to you all here, we can’t wait to stay again!!
My Friends and I had a bottomless brunch, our Server Maddie was absolutely amazing! 100% on client service, attentiveness and very accommodating!!! Thank you Maddie for going the extra mile and making this and awesome experience Food & drinks: Food was great
Can't comment on the rooms as I didn't stay. I didn't realise that this was a chain restaurant, paired with D'Parys in Bedford. The menu is identical. It was very busy when we arrived unannounced on a Sunday afternoon but we were able to be seated. My meal came out cold but this was quickly rectified. The waitresses were very polite. We sat in the conservatory which was nice but after a while the brightness strained my eyes. If I were to return, I would request a table in the main restaurant.
Just a quick stop off whilst charging the car. Only had a coffee. But looked like a lovely pub. It was very busy with a lot of people having food. Staff were very friendlyService: 5/5
We have been frequent visitors but won't be visiting again now sadly. Service for meals took 50 mins, luckily I had brought food for the baby with me or we would have been in a pickle. My daughter 3 was starving by the time food arrived. They have very little available on the menu, no veggie option left for roast dinner and no meat but belly pork for roast despite being told there was three meats available for the three meat roast dinner. They werent transparent about and then tried to say they have pulled together as much beef and chicken as they could but there was no beef and a very small square of chicken. They said they had given extra belly pork but the dinner was very small and not enjoyable. They had no ice cream left. When we gave feedback at the end we were met with a very unhelpful and cheeky response and no effort to put it right. Spoilt what should have been a nice meal out with family.
