Thankfully the food has gone back to being great. Roast dinners are excellent! The Pub has always been amazing but the food did let it down a few years ago. Now it's great again, already planning our next visit
Had dinner here after visiting the village and have to say I had the best pork belly. Other food we ordered was also really good. Friendly staff and good atmosphere
Food was delightful, big portions. short staffed but still good service, little disappointed with house soda, more like a glass of squash
Gorgeous pub, my calamari starter was not that great, I quite liked my seabass main, but there was too much wait time between starter and main.
The food is fabulous the staff accomodating friendly and efficient. I have been here before in 2009 and the food is significantly better. It's a lovely pub good atmosphere and dog friendly. Doggy treats on sale lots of water stations all over the place. I don't own a dog but can see the benefits to those that do. Dogs on this visit very well behaved. Lovely family atmosphere everyone happy and relaxed. I took an overseas dog loving person for lunch who was very very impressed. Would recommend.
Ordered camembert bites but were only told they had run out when the rest of the food turned up and they were missing. Beef dripping sauce forgotten until most of the brisket sandwich was eaten. Hunters chicken presentation was awful, looked like it was made in GCSE food tech. One square slice of cheese melted on top, bbq sauce barely visible and dried up from grilling, plus two skinny slices of pancetta. For nearly £16 I was extremely disappointed. Rest of the food went down okay.
A great location and the prices are not cheap because of it. Right next to Cockington Country Park. Very classy decor and lots of seating. If you're in the area, worth popping in for a drink.
Very nice place. Food very good indeed and also dog friendly. Plenty of space around each table. The young lady who looked after us for Sunday lunch was a delight. Very efficient, lovely smile and lovely to talk to. A real asset to this business and made myself, my wife and my whippet feel very welcome.
Had a surprise birthday meal here last night for my boyfriends birthday with his family & can honestly say from start to finish everything was perfect. The staff were all lovely & couldn't do enough to help... Even though it was very busy we were made to feel very looked after! The food was excellent & it was so nice to go out for a meal where we enjoyed everything about it. Cannot wait to return!! Highly recommend to anyone!! Stunning place with top notch staff & food!!
Lovely atmosphere ..helpful guy at the till adviced us on a tea and cake afternoon treat which was pleasant. Just very relaxing place to go for a change of scenary from busy and plain torquay .
