We visited here to celebrate my fiancée’s sister’s birthday. I was fairly impressed with the decor and the ambience. The menu looked exotic and versatile and I was extremely excited to try some of the special dishes during the lunch special, but they were unfortunately out of about 2-3 of the courses I was interested in. I did have the cheeseburger and it wasn’t bad. Not spectacular, but not outright bad either. Our host was very accommodating and helpful and I give him an A plus for his friendly attitude and courteous service. All in all, I’m sure on a different day I might have enjoyed the food more than I did on this particular visit. The inherent recipes in the menu looked very appetizing and I was quite disappointed that I couldn’t get to try them due to a shortage stock, as we were told. Probably a very good place on a good day. This visit was just a little below expectations, so on that note I give it 3 stars.
Pre booking is advised as it gets busy! We had a lovely meal in here, all nicely done, but they seemed to be short on staff, only 1 bar tender and 2 people serving - our starters had arrived before we even got our drinks they took that long! On the plus side its 2 for 1 on all cocktails all day here.
Delicious food vegan sour cream!!!!, extensive vegan options, and amazing service. I accidentally somehow ordered 2 portions of non-vegan nachos how?? and they graciously offered to refund them without me even asking. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.
Sat outside as it was sunny and warm. Outside seating you can only order tapas which wasn't a problem. Tapas was delicious and alot of choice. Honey peri wings had no hear at all so go the next spicy level up. Drinks were delicious - strawberry daiquiri was really sweet! Friendly and polite staff. Just wish they would collect the empty glasses instead of letting your take pile up
Fantastic meal and excellent service. First visit to Las Iguanas during a two day trip to Torquay and something I cannot wait to repeat at their other locations. The team were exceptional and their attention to detail and diligence once informed of an allergy shellfish was astounding. I think the only way to sum up this visit is to thank the Torquay Las Iguanas team for delivering excellence and for providing not only a great meal but a great experience.
Good choice of drinks, plus 2 for one cocktails.. All day, every day. Bar snacks and tapas available all listed with key code for vegetarians and allergens. Lovely setting over looking the seafront.
Visited on a Tuesday night for my mums birthday for a late bottomless brunch. Josh and his colleague didn’t get her name unfortunately was most accommodating making sure we had the best time! Food was also amazing. Thank you Josh and team!
Apparently no longer accept legal tender i.e. cash. Unless its for tips ofcourse!! Interesting arrangement!! Mr Schwab would be proud! Poor service, waited for ages before our drinks finally came out, much later than other customers, and there were ample staff on the night. Overall tasty food, some starters on the extremely small size. Mains generally good value for money and tasty. Didn't really have that chain feel or taste so that was impressive. Decent value at around £20 including drinks if you have some kind of discount voucher, etc otherwise not so much!
Friendly staff though rushed maybe short staffed as dirty table at arrival and 45mins before someone came to clean it, I had already done it. Sauces for the dishes, amazing..chicken was a bit chewy and the muscles 1/3rd of the shells was empty. Not much on the menu for seafood lovers. The cocktails are delicious 241 too. Obviously the view is beautiful, though by a road so expect passing cars!
Came for brunch, and they didn’t disappoint. Very accommodating with our dog and she also got treats! Food was fast to come and tasted good. Service was super quick. Great views of the bay
