The Downs is a vast open space to walk around and on Saturday is home to a Bristol football league. There's usually an ice cream van down at one end and a café at the other for refreshments! There's a great view of the suspension bridge too.

Lovely piece of open space in Bristol for taking family, walking and views. Enjoy walking from suspension bridge over downs to sea walls and the going down black boy hill for food / drink. Otherwise reverse walk angels get refreshments in Clifton village near bridge.

A much-loved shared green space for walking, running, playing and socialising. Close to the heart of the city yet it feels like being in the country. Doing exercise here is a very relaxed and positive experience because so many others are doing the same thing. It doesn't matter how fit you are or whether you are wearing exactly the right gear it is a very accepting and encouraging atmosphere to enjoy the great outdoors.

Huge open space, great for ball sports, running, cycling etc. Retreat Cafe (next to the water tower) is basic but great value, and has outdoor tables.

Good all round walking/viewing location, VERY grateful for the "Loos", but they can be a bit grim.
