St George Park in Bristol is a delightful urban oasis. The park features a large lake, perfect for leisurely strolls and feeding the ducks. Well-maintained gardens, including beautiful rose beds, add to the serene ambiance. There's a spacious playground, making it ideal for families, and ample open spaces for picnics and sports activities. The addition of a skate park caters to older children and teenagers. The cafe on site serves delicious refreshments, making it a great spot to relax. With its mix of natural beauty and recreational facilities, St George Park is a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy outdoor activities.
Very nice park. Far from city centre but it's worth visiting atleast once or twice a month. The greenery of this place is magnificent. There are public toilets and a coffee shop too. Not sure if the ice cream truck comes here daily, but I visited on a Sunday and bought a softie from them :
Played tennis here against a team from St George and Easton. The park had a lot of families enjoying themselves in the sunshine, but as soon as dusk came, the families disappeared, and the park took on a more sinister atmosphere. Some of the facilities are badly damaged by vandalism, like the former bowling club, and the park had a run-down vibe. The tennis courts were fine but no net bands or winder. Parking can be a challenge.
A great park with lots for everyone to do. Kids play area, duck pond, skate park which toddlers can use to. A little cafe hut for take out snacks and drinks could be a bit quicker. Dogs allowed everywhere except play park.
Pretty nice park for families, kids to play. Seems to be filled with alcohol bottles by the bathrooms, and the bathrooms are filthy.
