A beautiful area of Bristol. Lovely woodland walks, play area, tree lined paths and a wonderful river side walk running through it, as well as plenty of open space for dogs.
I have been there before but this was the first visit with family the play area is excellent and contains many innovative components which are sometime educational like the Archimedean screw for lifting water. The walks are fantastic there is loads of space. Walking beside the Frome River to the snuff mill was rewarding though the boys found many sections of the path too rough for using their bikes Vassals Park is part of the larger Oldbury Court Estate and the two integrate well. There are still many parts yet to explore but we shall save those till next time.l were also enthusiastic about the experience and look forward to returning.
We love Oldbury Court! Amazing playground, and then an amazing nature playground too! Looks especially beautiful in the autumn. Our fave thing is following the stream down and paddling. Really appreciate the cafe as well, and usually there’s a great Mr Whippy.
Huge space, mixed old woodland with varied foliage and fields. Great dog walking along the banks of the Frome and linking across to Snuff Mills, Eastville Park, Stoke Park and Frenchay. The kiosk and kids play park are very good and there's a forest school as well.
Really lovely place for a long nature walk and explore! There is a free car park, mini cafe and open playing fields at the top, with a park for children. As you venture deeper into the estate you come across beautiful woods filled with different trees and plants. The river Frome runs through and there are a few bridges to walk over and admire the water. There are many safe paths going down to the bottom where the river is and a lot of bins to keep the area clean. Perfect for dog walking or a healing nature walk. You can even walk all the way to Snuff Mills! Really beautiful.
Amazing park! For everyone very multicultural. Small cafe, ice cream van, sand pit, swings and more. This is a great park for all ages
Oldbury Court Country Park is a beautiful place for walks among the trees and by the river. There's a play park suitable for children of all ages. My son lives within easy walking distance, and I've enjoyed many walks across the field and through the woods with my granddaughter. It's very popular with dog walkers.
A beautiful place! The park has lots of different types of trees, a river at its edge with at least one stream running into it from the park/estate side. There are lots of birds, squirrels and even a few deer. The river has lots of fish as well as some kingfishers and herons in its close vicinity. There is a good size and seemingly well equipped playground fenced off for the children and sometimes an ice-cream van is there. There are also large areas of grassland for walkers and picnickers. It's an extensive green space not far from the city. It's a great place to go to unwind! Once you are in the park you feel as though you could be miles from anywhere.
Lovely park with nice walks around well laid out paths. Some interesting sculptures dotted around, carved from local trees by the looks of it. Didn't use the cafe or children's play area so can't comment on these.
Nice place to explore! It's for all ages, really. One can enjoy a walk in nature or climb on the cliffs or even play in the stream...don't forget your wellies! Such a lovely view, so beautiful and quiet! Moreover, the kids playpark is quite lovely. We'll surely go there again!
