Had a nightmare trying to get to the LFC vs Spurs game as our bus broke down on the way. Ended up here to watch the match while we awaited being picked up. Owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming, as we're the other locals drinking there. Great choice of drinks and lots of well placed TVs for watching the game. Lovely pub.
A friendly place which felt like a social, sports bar. Crowded due to the football! Family oriented and dog friendly. There is a band on Saturday's. Outside seating with opens out to the park with clear views of the play area. There is 2 pool tables and dart boards.
My first time here, to see family for the weekend. Exceptional pub, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely draught cider. Clean all round, toilets are spot on. Lovely manager. Such a shame we have a shortage of these pubs in London. We absolutely loved the place.abd shall visit again.
not too friendly, just been for a long walk on a hot day and they kicked us out after like 5 mins cause we hadn’t brought drinks and even tried getting us out for being underage even though we were 18 youngest :/ bit hostile and even got pushed a lil by some old fella

Excellent pub. Lovely staff, very friendly atmosphere and superb music.
Just moved to newport right next to the dove. Staff are very friendly but with the amount this pub likely makes it could have done with at least one more member behind the bar both times I've been in. Atmosphere could do with a little work but like I said I've only just moved here so it maybe different on another visit. I'm glad its a family friendly place to the degree a pub can be really. It's a little dark on the inside could do with some work on that aspect but seeing a pub look like a proper pub in every other way is great as you don't tend to get many like it anymore. I'd say the pub needs to bring in a manager of sorts. Seems like the owner is always on hand though. Could be a really fantastic pub though with a few tweaks. This is from a managers point of view though.
Great landlord, and staff, punters were welcoming and friendly.
Brilliant atmosphere, staff and service. I love the fact that they not only welcome dogs but have treats for them on the bar as well
