Had a great time at the Chester Arms last weekend. The vegan menu has lots of options. Kind of a humble pub grub style. They even had vegan desserts which is a novelty for me! Would love to see some more drinks options in the future, maybe some quirky beers and spirits would be a good addition. The staff were really friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking and outside seating available.
Amazing from start to finish, especially their vegan food. Absolutely delicious and some more adventurous dishes such as vegan"fish" and chips, vegan "scallops" and a really decent pie. Excellent, personalised service, good beer, roaring fires. We will definitely return. Vegetarian options: Amazing. Great variety. Delicious. And clever. Kid-friendliness: Manager welcomed us and knew us by name within minutes, recommended certain food and drinks, made my son a really fancy mocktail which made him very happy. Very accommodation and friendly.
Very tasty vegan Sunday lunch . I had lamb seitan and oh had beef . Portion of land was a little small , but everything was cooked to perfection. Thrilled to see such a good selection of vegan food , especially desert . Vegetarian options: Good choice Dietary restrictions: Clearly marked vegan and gluten free . Also clearly stated that they are not nut free .
Absolutely delicious , vegan Lamb Sunday Roast, vegan Cod n Chips, and apple n cherry crumble. All spot on, served by Ranjit, couldn't do enough for us, all the staff were brilliant. We'll visit again for sure Vegetarian options: Vegan Kid-friendliness: High chair
This pub was a fantastic find, the food was great, had the potted mackerel and sea bass which were presented fantastically and the flavours were great. Good selection of drinks also. Located in a quaint quite village this place is definitely worth a visit!
Visited with my Wife and our toddler for dinner. The staff were all lovely and helpful, service was pretty quick and the food was absolutely delicious. Will certainly visit again.
The best vegan roast dinner I’ve ever had! So lovely to see such a large vegan menu, and the ‘beef’ seitan was amazing! Definitely coming back for another roast soon
Lovely little pub, independently run and staffed by friendly people. Christmas dinner was delicious and I enjoyed the very generous portions. Went back recently after a walk from Cranfield, delicious sandwiches and excellent service as always.
Amazing traditional countryside pub. The staff were absolutely fantastic and nothing was a bother for them. Even complying with all requests from a fussy toddler including providing a bowl of strawberries for pudding! Good menu variety and very reasonable. Lovely Friday eve!Food: 5/5
My favourite place to eat. The atmosphere is peaceful and friendly. The staff are wonderful. The food is amazing, delicious big portions with so many options for gluten free and vegan food. I can’t recommend The Chester Arms enough.Recommended dishesSticky Toffee Pudding
