I was very disappointed with my visit today. None of the staff engaged with anybody that attended. They were too busy talking among themselves, not paying any attention to the customers.nnVery grotty and run down. Ice skate blades were very blunt, hard to grip on the ice.nnWould have thought, being so close to Christmas, that Christmas music would of been played.
Our first time visiting today. And my two children's first time ice skating. Both 4 and 7 years old. Staff was so so helpful. Within 5 minutes they could see me and my 4 year old struggling and advised to change her skates to the double bladed ones. No questions asked they did this for us. And then we asked about swapping the penguin to a slip and slide ride on, and it was so much better and we really got stuck in then as a family. We stayed the full time and we all had a brilliant time. The young lad who was on the ice with everyone was approachable and really chatty and friendly and helpful! Highly recommend. Will be visiting again! Thank you all
I love this place, is really great fun, but it's grim these days nothing clean windows covered in bird poo, Rust and everywhere and the outside pool hasn't work in a year now, ice rinks good and massive thou and it's got a nice little soft soft play and invents are always well-done but yes sadly it needs some cleaning and painting
Ice skating brilliant with the slopes as well, very good. Upper level for kids and beginners was excellent, snowmen and penguins essential even for the newbie adults. Swimming pool closed for half term, must need serious work….
Great venue, but beware about family skating, particularly if you have young ones. The ice is full of men-boys skating at breakneck speed to impress the teenage girls giggling around the edge. I saw a couple of collisions, but staff are not managing the issue.
