Stayed for two nights and ate in the pub. Modern rooms, super clean, compact but chic with nice touches lovely toiletries, tea & coffee, iron + board, umbrella, etc. The food was really tasty, the menu pretty varied although not loads for veggies. A good range of beers and wines. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The location is quiet with some nice walks locally.
We visited with friends a few weeks back and the pub has been renovated to a very high standard with plenty of parking. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and our table was nicely set out. Our meal was very well cooked and nicely presented. The only issue, relatively small issue, is that a lack of soft furnishing means that background noise is very loud and can make hearing difficult. This particularly if you have hearing difficulties. The toilets are maintained to the highest standard and spotlessly clean.
A beautiful country pub that has been renovated and modernised to a very high standard. We sat outside on the patio which is well furnished with comfortable chairs and lots of parasols. The food was fresh, tasty and generously portioned. Service was relaxed but entirely appropriate for six friends having a leisurely Saturday pub lunch. Ample parking and wheelchair access made this an ideal spot for our group.
I just wanted to write to thank you and all the staff for the very professional service that you provided my walking group on Saturday. There were so many positive comments about the quality of the beer, the flavour of the foods and the lovely helpful attitude and service that you provided... it was exceptional.. we were so impressed that you could get so many meals out on the table, with the right food orders and almost simultaneously and to such a high standard!
5 friends went out on a Saturday evening to try a new place we all heard about but never have visited before. Food was especially delicious, all ingredients were from local farms or from their own garden, and very well seasoned. An extra star for the genuine vegetarian options on the menu. Service was spot on, so all in all it was a rather pleasant experience. A highly recommended place. Thank you Chef
What a beautiful pub! We stayed the night everything was perfect and spotless! Dinner was great and the chef bought out the main which was a lovely touch! Loads of breakfast we couldn't fault our stay at all! Thank-you!
Food was excellent, menu varied and plenty of nice things to choose from. Unfortunately it was very quiet when were served which meant that service was though initially very attentive quite slow and a little forgetful. Had to ask a few times for the same thing drinks top ups, and then eventually get up and go to the bar before it actually came - and when it did there was no reference to the wait. Not the end of the world by any means and it won't stop.us returning, but could just be quite a bit more attentive.
Visited for an "Oktoberfest" offering of Bavarian Style cooking . Was not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service even better. Will be on my list for a return visit to try the regular menu, as examples seen delivered to other tables looked superb.
Lovely friendly welcome as we arrived for lunch. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious. Very happy to recommend eating here. The house beer was good, the wine list was very good. I am definitely going back.Service: 5/5
Absolutely amazing food, could tell was all quality ingredients, such a great portion, and fabulous staff. Really beautiful meal. Would 100% recommend!
