I enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal here at the Michelin-starred restaurant. The crab, lobster and caviar starter was delicious and light. The main of beef Wellington was perfectly cooked and cut at the table. It was absolutely amazing! The chocolate and mango dessert was beautiful! It was a great dining experience although the room lacked atmosphere as it was very quiet and no music was playing. I wasn't bothered about that and would highly recommend it!
Amazing experience! Really liked my server’s recommendations! He’s very knowledgeable and attentive. Sorry I forgot his name Young gentleman with a bit of French accent? The second server however didn’t really mention much about the drink he recommended to me. I didn’t know there’s a strong coffee flavor which I didn’t really enjoy. But overall a fantastic experience here: loved every moment!
Decor rather old style unlike beautiful garden restaurant where fantastic tea is served but service is impeccable and food really excellent - the gravy for the Sunday roast took three days to prepare and one can really taste it! The vegetables were all not great but a beautiful Bordeaux was recommended by Sommelière, the risotto starter was super - all really special
Love it! One of the best places in London! Service: amazing! Elegant place, food - wow. Had beef and desserts. Additional bonus for the non alcoholic cocktails! Great price/value.
Exceptional staff and exquisite food! From the doorman to the sommelier, everyone was incredibly polished, polite and professional. The dining experience was unparalleled and the food was quite literally the best I've ever had! Highly recommended!
Very elegant dinner time with my friend. The food is delicate and tasty. I enjoyed a lot Highly recommendation
The girole risotto was the absolute best I've ever had. Lovely meal from start to finish. The staff were all wonderful, and it had that lovely mix of fine dining but with a really nice relaxing atmosphere, zero stuffiness. Delightful.
Most amazing dining experience! A regular of mine, the staff remember exactly your requirements. Jean Baptiste is by far the best sommelier in London in my opinion. With his real passion being old world wine, he has a unique flair for new world and different wines, the last time i enjoyed a wine from Uraguay! Richard Galli never ceases to impress, this time i had the duck for the first time, which was incredible. So succulent, yet with a crisp top, and perfect souffle on the side. As always with the Goring, the traditional dishes are always available, and one would highly recommend the risotto as a starter. Davide Isabella who manages the Dining room has always been hospitable and him and his staff are a credit to the Hotel.
Such a shame the staff is so rude and unpolite. We called to alert that we were running late with our taxi and we have been reassured that last order was at 10 pm so arrivong at 9.50 pm would not be a problem. Upon arrival we were rudely rejected as the chef was not going to cook for us as he decided to close the kitchen at 9,45 despite the restaurant website states that the last order is at 10 and not to mention that we were reassured over the phone by the staff that the last order was at 10 pm. We had a 40 min taxi ride to get there and we were rejected with no reason despite we respected the times given by the restaurant staff. No apologies were offered, the staff was very rude in their manners. It was a terrible experience, anyone should avoid this place.
Ruined evening. Booked for 9.15 pm. Called the restaurant to advice about delay and I have been informed the kitchen was going to close at 10 pm same information is also stated on the restaurant website. Arrived at 9.50 10 minutes before the kitchen was going to close and we have been unpolitely rejected only by saying that I was given a wrong information as the chef was not willing to cook for us as he closed the kitchen just 5 minutes before our arrival. We said that we were fine by ordering food immediately in order not to delay the kitchen and the staff, but the people that are supposed to welcome arriving guests did.not care at all. No apologies, no empathy. Is this the way to welcome people? Is it fair to reject with no reason guests with booking leaving them without dinner at almost 10 pm when they will not find any other restaurant open? I never received such a treatment anywhere else in the world.
