Popped in for a quick beer as the local Newcastle Blue Star match was called off at late notice and I had already travelled.nCouple of cask ales on which is great. Nice looking bar with a lovely open fire in the middle. There were a couple of VERY loud customers in which was a little off-putting but I may have just got unlucky on the night.

On arrival doorman kindly opened the door for me. It wasn't just on one occasion. Every time I went out for a smoke security guard has opened my door. Nice touch. Haddock and chips was perfect. Crisp batter great chips and big chunk of a fish. Julie the manager was a great host as well as Macy who served my food and done the service check. Live music was the bonus to my evening. I loved it.
I love coming here every week. Its always warm the the staff are very welcoming. Special mention to Julie and Calum for serving me quickly and efficiently. My meals were cooked by emily and lynsey and were really nice!
The Denton has been my local for the last 30yrs and in that time I've seen loads of changes - happy to say all positive. I hadn't been in a good while however, until this weekend - but as soon as I stepped in I was really impressed with the staff, food and the general vibe. I had previously spoken with Julie to arrange a space for a small group, post-Christening, and she was super efficient in sourcing the right area, taking numbers to ensure we had space for everyone. Needless to say everything went swimmingly on the day, and when we decided to order food for our party, staff were really knowledgeable and helpful. The food came out quickly, hot and beautifully presented. Plates were empty in a flash! All in all, brilliant craic and the staff were attentive without being in your face. Every person in the party was really impressed; and we'll certainly be back again soon. Thanks for making our afternoon special.
