Popped in on the off chance and although very busy they managed to accommodate us as a couple. The food is very well presented and is a delight on the taste buds. Good selection of real ales and some traditional beers/lagers. The proprietor is very welcoming and warm and friendly. Very good value for what you are served. Will be booking ahead next time we are in the area. Really nice traditional looking country restaurant with a warm, friendly atmosphere with a good selection of ales and ciders. The food was simply brilliant, suitably portioned at a reasonable price for the amazing quality and skill involved. From starters to dessert we were not disappointed and left feeling full and eager to return. Pictured is their venison steak and across the table was rolled pork belly
Went for some tea last night and the service and food was 5*. We had our 2 year old with us which sometimes makes me reluctant to go out for food but I had nothing to worry about. We sat outside as it was lovely weather and there was a beautiful duck pond and a little path leading to a park. Myself and my partner had burgers which we thought were great and my son had sausages from the kids meal. From start to finish the staff were friendly and helpful and we found it reasonably priced. If we visit the area again we will definitely go back.
We had a very warm welcome and although we hadn’t booked and they were very busy, we were kindly given a table. What a beautiful place and the staff and service were wonderful and the food was sooooo delicious and beautifully presented. We had such a lovely lunch and very much look forward to returning

Had dinner here tonight with friends and we all enjoyed it very much. I had duck breast, dauphinous potatoes carrots and cavelo nero, and my friends had seabass. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and my friend had a chocolate pudding. It was all very tasty. It's a lovely pub with friendly staff.
Always a pleasure to go to The Queen at Dennington. I am a real problem with my dietary requirements but they always are able to suit me just fine! Thank you to all the staff this evening. We had a lovely evening with you and no doubt we will be back to see you very soon. Lovely ambience, staff and food, well worth a visit. XxFood: 5/5
I was dining at the same time as the gentleman who gave the previous review and feel compelled to comment on my experience felt very different. We were seated in close proximity to the ‘rowdy’ group and did not find the noise levels to be unacceptable – it’s the Christmas period after all and it is expected to find large groups of people celebrating at this time of year. The food and service was exceptional as always.
We really enjoyed visiting the Dennington Queen. The staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious. All six of our party were very happy. It didn't take too long to be served, even though it was busy, the staff were attentive but not intrusive and the food was great. Will definitely go again.Food: 5/5
Atmosphere is what you make it but the setting is great. Special thanks to Chantal love who serves here lovely smile so helpful as was the other lady. Food is very good and varied. Parking: Not bad Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten free
