Another fabulous find. Only open Fri/Sat afternoons. Parking is along the road, plenty of room but just allow a few minutes to park up and walk over. English Heritage - so free if members, otherwise around £8 an adult, with a special family admission offer. Worth every penny. This is very different from your usual windmill, with an interesting history. And the current owners were there to tell us their family story - very much appreciated as I'm guessing they do this voluntarily. Some steep steps up, just take your time and hold on to the rope/bannister .. it's worth the steps. The suggestion is that you go up the top mill end first, then do the brick built base. Lots of information boards to read. Some narrow steps in the base, but manageable taken carefully. A definite gem of a visit if you're close by. No gimmicks, no cafe, no shop ... just a fabulous place of interest.
Lovely mill that you can look around. It is still managed by the original owners who have had it over 200 years! The guide was very knowledgeable. Well worth a visit especially if you are visiting Framlingham Castle.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo

WoW! What an amazing piece of local history. Great to meet the Mill House owner who is the 4th generation of his family to be there, the guy have us a really personal history. The mill was famously visited by Fred Dibnah on a TV programme, he has inscribed his initials at the top level.
A beautiful place that lets us know how flour mills used to be before electricity was invented. It’s not for people with mobility issues as the stairs are very small and steep.
Interesting mill. Bit hairy going up and down the stairs especially the ones outside
Only open at selected times we were fortunate to see inside this National Trust windmill. The lady looking after the mill gave us an interesting insight to its history and then released the sails so as we could see it in operation.
Interesting mill!!! I recommend you guys to come and see.
Couldn't gain access to the mill no one was on duty and we were well inside opening hours we had a good look around the outside disappointed as we travelled quite a distance
Brilliant, you can climb up to the top and it's a wonderful bit of history.
