I can’t blame this place for being the only takeaway in Lee Green open after 11 p.m. on a Saturday. Just wan at all these other take always in Lee Green are doing by being shut at this time, only the Lord God Almighty knows. But the beefburger we ordered was …well.. something from an alien planet. Maybe it was teriyaki beef or something, but it had no right to find itself slapped between two halves of a soft sesame burger bun. Doubtless I’ll still be trying to wash away the taste tomorrow morning.
Very disappointed.. madras was a 1 for heat and very watery rice .. chasing the money and not the customer base .. naan bread was under kneaded and raw in places .. poor quality overall
The Indian food has so much flavour and the customer service is A*! This is my new spot
My order was not nice this time . I have ordered on many occasions and this was the first time I did not like my meal this was because the rice tasted like water and the chicken tikka masala was too thick you could not dip your Nan bread in it. And the nan bread was a little soft and had no texture to it. Plus I could not get any sauce too stay on the nan bread. I did eat it but it did not leave me wanting more like it usually doe's I also had 1 nan bread was missing from my order I did call them and they did send it out to me very quickly . This is why I am giving a rating of 3 . I would normally give curry world 5 stars plus but unfortunately not this time.
I’m stunned that this place has any good reviews. We just waited over an hour to have cold food delivered. The food was substandard and the salmon dish in particular which was way over priced at over £10 was literally scraps of salmon in tasteless tomato sauce. A 1.5 litre of coke was priced at £2.49 robbery but we wanted some coke and all that was delivered was a single can. When I called the restaurant to complain about it we were told that they were not going send anyone to fix the order but offered to correct the order next time. I think I’d rather eat my own liver than order from this place ever again. The best thing about the food was the water we drank afterwards to wash the nasty taste out of our mouths. Massively overpriced over £40 for 2 curries, 2 rices, 2 breads and a few sides. Really, really terrible. I feel like I have been robbed.
Incredible! Incredible! The best feel good kind of curry that really packs amazing flavour. Would 100% reccomend and revisit many many times over.
Food was incredible; one of the best curries I've had in a long time, plus all my friends thoroughly enjoyed theirs. The delivery was prompt, & the driver was super friendly. Next time I visit london, I shall be ordering from here again, & I hope I get the same delivery person! A+++
A great place for take away. I have never eaten in. However have made a couple of orders. I have tried numerous curry houses from just eat etc and have been quite unsatisfied. I came across this one and as such this is now my go to for a good curry. The food: Flavourful and good portion sizes. I really like the Lamb madras, the cuts of meat are good and don't taste low grade like some places. The spices used are well blended and not over powering whilst delivering a good level of heat. I will probably order a vindaloo next time as my partner has had it a couple of times and it's been delicious. Starters: All quite pleasant. The dips are nice, but they could do all the dips for a cheaper price...just a suggestion. The poppadoms are nice especially the spicy ones. However the portion size for poppadoms is a bit small for the price if memory serves me right you get two, maybe three. The naan breads are tasty and well worth the extra. Delivery: Delivery has always been reasonably quick and the food is always delivered still hot and tasting fresh. Whilst it may not be the cheapest, it certainly isn't the most expensive. The food quality certainly justifies the little bit extra. Usually deals are being done for when you order in excess of £25. Which is a pleasant touch. This would be nice if done at the £20 as when ordering for two it can be a bit much to order to hit the mark. However this would be understandable if it's not viable due to profit margins. Once again just a suggestion. All in a solid five stars. Give it a go!
I have used curry world as my local for over 4 years so no surprises. Whilst it's not the gourmet Indian food which has become fashionable, it is good quality 'local' Indian food with better meat than some other locals and good 'spicing', i.e. not insanely hot but flavoursome, although I'm sure you could get very hot dishes if you wanted. Service is always polite and efficient. I have usually waited no more than about 25 minutes from putting in my order which has always been accurate and hot even at peak times.
First order not bad had better only ordered as no other takeaway was open in the afternoon. found chicken tikka bit bland ordered mushroom bhaji got vegetable in error was ordered over the phone as online £1.99 for delivery to downham 10 minutes away. Bit cheeky when order was £38 and had to ask for 20% discount which they offer for orders over £35 was reluctant to give, the bill was incorrect but couldn’t be bothered to argue over £1.20 in the end wish I had waited for others to open disappointed.
