What an experience! I had a large espresso with scrambled eggs on a gluten free toast. Amazed by the quality and taste
Two of us came this morning for breakfast and coffee. The service is outstanding, attentive staff but not all over you, we asked for another few minutes to look at the menu as they were keen to take our order upon arrival. They were more than happy to give us a few extra moments to decide. The menu is right up my street, not pages and pages of different things, a very good selection of quality breakfast/brunch dishes along with sandwiches etc. I had creamy mushrooms on toast with additional poached eggs and my partner in breakfast craving crime had smashed avocado on toast, again with additional poached eggs. The food arrived a matter of minutes after ordering and was absolutely delicious, a very hearty portion of a dish done exactly how I wanted it. The atmosphere was superb, it’s a medium sized busy dining area and you don’t in any way feel in the way or on top of other people which was very nice. The cake/desert selection is top drawer and we took some away with us.
Great local cafe that is very popular. There was a bit of a queue but it was quite quick. There’s lots of choices on the menu and the service was efficient. The French toast was generously served and was delicious! Great atmosphere and dog friendly!!
Humble food. There are bacon sandwiches and bacon sarnies, then there’s a bacon bun from Haxby’s Curious Coffee.nThey are simply a cut above your normal bacon roll. 4 thick rashers of the local butcher’s bacon perfectly cooked to how you like it served in a lightly buttered sesame seeded roll. Ketchup if you want it but trust me, you don’t want to hide the flavours of that bacon. Oh and the coffee is damn good too . Service is friendly and efficient - what more could you want. So if you live in the area, save yourself a few quid on York city centre prices and treat yourself to quite possibly the best bacon sarnie out there.
Stopped by for a Latte and a cheese scone and both were fantastic.nGreat atmosphere and nice menu selection.nnIt's autumn now so I had a pumpkin spice latte which was excellent and the cheese scone, with onion chutney was lovely.nnThe menu has lots of lite bites like sarnies and eggs on toast plus the cake display looked super tasty.
