We went to the Craigmarloch Lodge this evening for dinner me, my partner and our 1yr old son.nnWe had a lovely meal 2 for £11.50 and a kids meal for £1. The service was great, I can’t recall the two girls names who were working on the night but both were lovely and attentive.nnI also spoke to the chef, Billy, who I know from previous employment. The food was impeccable, tasty and brought to us quickly.nnKudos to everyone who was on shift.nnHere’s a photo of us all cheers’ing!
THIS MADE US VERY ILL VERY QUICK. DONT BOTHER ESTING HERE.nHad a lasagna and fish n chips. Very disappointing. Fish was drowning in oil. It seems like the fish was already cooked and then when we ordered it was fried again making the batter soggy and oily. Peas were hard. Not sure why it’s hard for the meant to be chef to have peas cooked. Lasagna was boiling hot like it just came out of the microwave. We ordered food as soon as we could on the app. Came out very quick to say food service just opened. Would definitely not come again. Didn’t even have Pepsi cherry already at 11:50am
Trying to put a reasonable perspective on this. I have visited many times for drinks and the quiz. Decided to have dinner and was extremely disappointed. Order was taken down wrong and therefore wrong main served. One order was forgotten about, however the quality of the food was no better than 3/10 presentation poor and sauce served in a bowl, quality decidedly average. Another point is when you order drinks for example a Stella and it comes in a Carling glass. Ordered 4 over the night each in a different glass none of them in the Chalice!!! not great.nWould I go back to the pub? Definitely. As for food I appreciate its ‘Pub Grub’ but spending over £50 on mains you expect better and will give it a miss in the future.
Great friendly place. Lovely food and good atmosphere just a little quite, but no complaints there
Great to see you are open for breakfast now so handy just on my door step could not fault anything .nI was talking to the steak lady and had a really good talk about Christmas day menu.nI will be booking here. Oh the food is scrummy
