Me and my friends didn't eat here, we arrived around 9pm for drinks and karaoke. The staff were fantastic and the locals friendly and welcoming. Karaoke was a lot of fun, there was no judgement, not even for my awful singing voice, just support and encouragement. The evening was topped off by an outstanding performance by a young saxophonist who had everyone on their feet and chairs, what a fantastic atmosphere! Just pure joy
I go to the Smiddy regularly for food with the hubby or for drinks with friends and we are always greeted with a welcoming smile. Service is excellent, staff cannot do enough for you, any issues just ask and it's resolved immediately, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are all lovely, happy and accommodating.nFood is excellent. Never had a meal I haven't enjoyed yet.nWas at there Christmas party even last year and have booked again for this year. It was a great afternoon and had a great laugh with the family. Entertainer interacted with as many people as he could throughout his performance. It was the perfect way to start the holiday season.nBeer garden is also amazing on a lovely summer day. Lots of space and loads of seats with umbrellas and shaded areas if you want to hide from the sun or heated areas if you are outside and it's cold.nBONUS IS ......... you can take your dog in. They are treated like royalty. There are blankets, treats, water stations with various sized bowls and there is even a dog menu for them to have some food if you are eating. Staff come over for a cuddle of the dog that is so the dogs adore all the attention they get. They go home happy and so do we.nLove this place and rarely go anywhere else now.
Had another great Tuesday afternoon in The Smiddy, entertainment was great, Elvis tribute was excellent, what a shift this guy puts in and super friendly. We all had food after the show, soup was delicious as was our mains. Staff very helpful and pleasant. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to Julia, Gayle and bar staff, really working so hard to make the Smiddy a great friendly place to visit.
Just had a really enjoyable meal here. Food was very tasty and fresh. Staff were very friendly.
Didn't stay for food. had booked table was shown to table feet were sticking to floor it was that dirty then when taken to table there was a pint behind the sign for small plates for 450 that looked as if it had been there as long as the place has been opened with around 25 flys in it the small tv in the booth that was covered in weeks old dried in sauce and what looked like a big sneeze mark on it safe to say we left without ordering will never be back
