Been here twice for dinner. The staff are very polite, welcoming and friendly and the service is quick and efficient. They provide a good gluten free menu which suits my wife who is a coeliac. We would highly recommend a visit to the Smiddy.

Had family lunch for 4 on Saturday afternoon, struggled to get a table as most reserved, food fabulous as always although i found the prices have risen dramatically since last visit, even though 2 courses were on the 2 mains for £10.99 deal the total bill came to nearly £65 which find is a bit excessive for a pub lunch for 4, no starters only mains, 2 deserts and drinks.
