Really amazing place to have a meal with friends and family. The staff were very friendly, polite and professional. The food I'd very reasonably priced! £13 for a three course meal in the evening? Outstanding! Would recommend it to anyone. 5 stars!!
Great food, and great service had the ultimate burger, very filling 2 quarter pounders, egg and bacon with cheese and salad, comes with chips and onion rings, very hard to eat, but great value for money.
First time we've visited The Crabtree for over a year. Still a very pleasant pub. Food was a bit of a mixed bag. The good were both 1kg Chicken wings with Frank's buffalo sauce. PROBABLY THE BEST WINGS I'VE HAD IN ANY PUB/RESTAURANT IN THIS COUNTRY.. OUTSTANDING! Sadly let down slightly by the worst House Slaw we've had. Why do Chefs have to change things? White cabbage finely shredded, grated carrot but MUST have premium mayo... Not the budget low fat vile liquid.. Ribs were good and meaty. Fish and chips were excellent with a very light crispy batter. Burgers were all overdone and dry. Normally we would have returned them but time was of the essence. We would 100% return for the Wings alone. but won't have the Slaw.
I visited mid-afternoon on a Saturday and have to say I was impressed. Beer was of the quality I had expected and food, for a chain pub, exceeded my expectations. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The pub and its grounds are larger than appear at first sight and whilst the outside is a little tired, expect this to be a popular destination during the summer. I am looking forward to revisiting.
Fancied a decent lunch so headed out to The Crabtree. We booked a table online and, when we got to the pub, smiling staff had the perfect table waiting I'd requested a cosy spot. Food was great and portioned well, loads of choice on the menu and the desserts sounded amazing- I just wish we'd had space for them! I would definitely recommend and we will be back :
Lovely pub & eatery. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly, polite, attentive and very helpful. Food was good value and actually very nice. We will definitely be back!
Great place for a catch-up with friends and colleagues, lovely social area. Often came here for drinks after work with colleagues and had a couple of meals. Occasionally have a quiz night which was really exciting to play with the rest of the pub.
The restaurant was not crowded, but very busy as expected on a Sunday afternoon. We had the very reasonably priced Sunday special. Unfortunately the turkey was cold, but the gravy helped to warm it up. The rest of the Sunday roast was good.
Bar staff are friendly. There is wide choice of food on the menu. The food was great - I chose sea bass and really enjoyed it. Would love to be able to bring our dog into the Crabtree when dining.
Nice food, quick service, choice of ordering at the bar or on the app. Only 4 stars as the environment was quite cold. Don't get me wrong, energy crisis and its quite a cold winter, but I'd rather not consider putting on my coat whilst eating.
