Been there a few times. Great atmosphere and lovely owners. Lovely beer garden that gives you an “old school” pub feeling. Dart board, pool table, betting machines and sweets and snacks. If only the staff would smile.Food: 5/5
Visited The Cottage Loaf Pub for a game of Pool with friends and had an enjoyable experience. The atmosphere was pleasant, making it an ideal spot for a casual hangout. The pub facilitated a few hours of fun without any hitches. Highly recommended for those looking to have a good time in Loughton!Service: 4/5
Nice and chill, not very loud, wide selection of beverages and food. Sometimes they have live music. Definitely recommend this place.
Entertainment good but terrible pub. Rude staff. Place is swarming in coke heads and the toilets are nasty. Let alone waiting absolutely ages to be served beer that really always taste like bottom of the barrelFood: 1/5
I am not a regular. It is good for functions. Doesn't do food. Does alow food to be delivered or self catering. Eg food from our works kitchen. The pub does music nights, singers and in our case Dj. Staff at the bar . Company paid so I can't say how much person Parking: Pub has parking lot, not a lot if a function is on. It is on a bus route. But at present isn't due to diversion . Parking in the street is free
Racist and unprofessional behaviour from one employee - young woman bartender, brown hair working during the afternoon. Arrived on a hot day to order some drinks as per usual. This time, welcomed into a hostile environment from the bartender with a sloppy attitude to her work and her costumers. A muslim friend wanted a glass of water with other drinks aswell and we were refused - being told to “go back to where you came from” and this was backed with the statement that she could refuse service because we were ordering soft drinks in “her pub” - nonsense.Disgusting and rude.
It's been a while since I'd been to that pub. Staff are lovely. Building needs an upgrade but overall a nice placeService: 3/5
Totally bizarre place saturated with wannabe gangsters and caked-in-yellow women. Word to the wise: A local pub for local people only. Visited with a few friends and EVERYONE in the pub turned and stared at us as we walked in. People proceeded to stare us down as we ordered and consumed our drinks... almost as if they'd never seen people drink before. We felt like a tourist attraction. Think of the experience as a cross between Close Encounters and An American Werewolf in London. Enter at your own peril.
