I was slightly concerned before my first visit because of negative reviews on google, but I’m happy so say that my experiences have been nothing but positive. I’ve visited twice, had my hair cut by two different gentlemen there and have been very, very pleased on both occasions. Skilful skin fades at a very reasonable price. This will likely be my regular barbers for the foreseeable.

Spectacularly bad. Not even sure they’re barbers?! Did this weird thing where he brushed my fringe forward and then chopped it 2cm long in a straight line. Now I have a fringe shorter than the sides or top. Quite the feat when I asked for a simple short back and sides…

Probably the worst haircut I've had in about 5 years. Asked for a fade blended into my longer hair on top - barber gave me the Skrillex treatment and shaved the sides down to nothing within the first minute, so had to spend the next 45 minutes coaching him to connect my hair and avoid a tragic looking undercut we failed. I had to tell him which scissors to use at one point as he was about to try and thin my hair with normal scissors. I'm not even sure these guys are actually qualified barbers - he took the hair too short on my crown and then tried to keep wetting it to stick it down with his hand. Wanted a simple top-up trim and now look like a villager from Shrek. Incredible how wrong they got it. Massively overinflated prices to boot.
Edit: Original rating was 5 stars. Since new owners taking over it is horrendous. I would rate 0 stars if I could. My hair is completely ruined, do not ask for a skin fade, you will get a bowl cut with a clear line, it’s too short to be able to do anything with, I’m going to have to just let it grow out but I 100% will definitely not be coming back here. Turned a perfectly good barber shop into a nightmare. Avoid at all costs. Original Review: This is my local barbers and I am usually seen by Ewa who is absolutely fantastic. She really takes care of customers and is a credit to The Corner Barber Shop, she is always polite and friendly and cuts my hair perfectly every time. I’d give Ewa 10 stars if I could :
Very friendly staff, obviously put a lot of care and work into my haircut, and even gave me recommendations on how it should look
Asked for a mullet, got given a short back and sides. He then asked if I wanted any trimmed off the top and I said no, he started cutting anyway. The worst barbers I've ever been to. How hard is it to do the cut you're asked to do
Used to be good for the price. Will be swapping barbers now though after the last visit. Asked for a low fade down to a 1 and a tiny bit off the top. Basically ended up with a crew but, look like I’m about to join the US military. I clearly told the guy what I wanted, he only heard the ‘ number 1 ‘ part so just mowed it down to that. On top he lifted my fringe and we agreed a length to cut to a tiny bit off the top and then he proceeded to keep cutting until there was barely anything left. The owner is blatantly a drunk who’s always smoking outside. Avoid at all costs now.
IF YOU WANT A SKIN FADE - AVOID!!! Awful haircut. Been here a few times and been okay but was lucky to have the same barber and who got to know my hair and what I wanted. Today I went and he wasn’t there so I left. But urgently needed it cutting so came back again later in the day. DISASTER! did exactly the one thing I said not to do the first thing he did. Instead of giving me a mid skin fade, instead I look like I just come out of strange ways prison.
