When you pay for Cut, Wash & Finish you expect to get all these services.  After my haircut was done, TJ was waiting for me to pay and I had to ask “Didn’t the selected package included wash and finish as well?”. Shocking answer “Ohh yeah, do you want your hair washed? Of course I want, otherwise I wouldn’t pay for it in the first place but we don’t have hot water, only cold water”. Without any other choice I accepted the cold water and stupefied again to see that the towel used was the rest of a ripped very used towel brown colour.  When it came to dry my hair, it was half dried then he asked me “is that good?”. I replied “can’t I have it fully dried please?”, his final answer being “gonna spend whole day on that indicating the low power hair drier”  Wasn’t happy with the hair cut as well, it’s been trimmed much shorter than I suggested.  If you want a different hair cut than what they do from day to day basis, maybe a more artistic one I would suggest to not choose this place.

Great barbers, good chat, very chill. I moved up from London and struggled to find a good barber in Manchester. Ant changed that with his excellent skills. x

Have used this place on and off for a few years, normally a decent haircut but still overpriced. Went on Friday before the Xmas break, must of booked in with the apprentice. Didn’t listen to a word I said, asked for a low fade took it right up and took all the weight out the sides. Couldn’t  use the scissors and the blending was poor, asked to speak to the manager and he said don’t worry he’s not faded it in yet the lad was about to send me on my way. Poor management and they should of offered to at least sort it out. That being said tj has cut my hair before and it was spot on, now I’m going New York looking like major chip hazard top one close

I've been coming here since it opened, must be at least 10 years ago now. Anthony has always cut my hair. To this day, having lived in many different places, even halfway round the world, I've not found anyone who can cut my hair as well as him. Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and top notch cuts.

I went to close male grooming to have my hair cut from shoulder length into a pixie cut I'm female. I knew I could trust the staff in there and Lorraine did a fabulous job! I always have her cut my hair as she does a much better job than any hairdressers. You're made to feel comfortable and the price is amazing!  Really good atmosphere and I will always travel from Liverpool to Manchester just so I can have my hair cut there. They know exactly what they are doing! Amazing place, boss hair cuts and boss staff, always a winner!

Standard of a £6 cut at £25. Never seem to get what i ask for despite me telling the barber numerous times what I wanted during the cut. I've always been of the belief that good hair cuts aren't cheap but I feel ripped off here as I had to pay another barber shop in the NQ to finish off my cut... Turned out to be a very pricey trim!

Been going to Close monthly for the past year. It’s a great place with a friendly team and I always get a great cut from Anthony.

Personally I'm happy to pay whatever for a good cut and service but for 24.50 it really wasn't any better than going to a barber that charges £5 asked for a beard trim that looked awful for 15 quid my 2 yr old niece could of done a better job! And the girl that done it nice enough but I'm paying £40 for a service I have not come here to listen about your life and have your opinion rammed down my throat! Actually she wasn't paying attention when she was doing my beard I thought she had gone over a spot or something when I got home they was a long cut on my throat where she obviously rammed the shaver into it not paying attention! Barbers boutique just down the road is half the price and service and cut 5*

The hair cut lasted around 20 minutes, wasn’t the correct length I asked for and I wasn’t shown the back sides after the cut.  The back of my neck was not shaved and the areas around the ears were not finished off correctly.  The man cutting my hair seemed nervous and it was not done to a standard worth paying nearly £25 for when I can get a better cut from a local barber for £6.
