Decided to pop up to Manchester and treat myself with a haircut from my favourite place after not being here since 2017, when I left university. It's really great to see that the place still thriving and especially after covid. If you're looking for an alternative style haircut by friendly professionals in the North West, then this is the place to go. It's walk ins only but I would happily queue for hours knowing I'm going to get the perfect trim. It's also very affordable for what you get, which is great for students and particularly young people experimenting with their style or after gender affirming haircuts. Love this place.
Had the best experience here today. From my vague instructions and one single reference image, they managed to give me a cut/total restyle which is even better than I'd hoped for. So much time, skill and care put into making my formerly shapeless hair look alive. It's also the first time I've had a cut that feels genderless, and it's euphoric. Also impressed by how quickly I was seated for a walk-in, and the value. Just, absolutely delighted. Thank you!
One of the worst haircut experiences I have had. I asked for a mullet and fringe to be cut, when I was unhappy with top and he went back to thin it he didn't bother wetting the hair again and cut it dry. He didn't blend the shaved sides well at all. Didn't shave around the neck properly or shape my sideburns. Didn't brush the hair off me properly, was covered in hair when left. I understand it's walk ins only but I felt so rushed. I didn't feel comfortable enough to say how unhappy I was. Definitely wouldn't go back.
I went from long hair to very short with an undercut and I love it! I've always wanted the undercut and the the guys at Palace were great. I felt listened to, and while I'm not usually a talker it was really easy to have a chat as they're so friendly. Very good prices too.
Lovely place, friendly staff. First time getting my hair cut here. I'm very anxious about going to hair dressers. But staff were understanding and explained what they were doing. Can just turn up without making an appointment. Very happy with the results definitely recommend trying them.
Always love my haircuts here. The wait is 100% worth it because they truly take the time to connect with you and also get your hair perfect. I’ve been coming to Steve at Palace Barbers for the past year. Great atmosphere, cute shop with loads of Debbie Harry memorabilia!!! Steve always listens to how I want my hair cut and cuts and styles it perfectly I also take my boys who normally hate having their hair but! Steve and the other barbers always put them at ease. Five stars!
Lovely Barbers, you'll definitely be left happy! Been there 3 times now, the first time I absolutely loved my hair but 2nd had a different stylist and sadly my hair didn't look how I wanted, stylist was lovely though and very talented just sadly a miscommunication! However, Steve reached out to me after I wrote a previous review and offered to fix the layering in my hair free of charge. Went back today and all I can say is wow, the service here is excellent and you can tell they care about how their clients feel. One of the most welcoming barbers i've ever been to and non judgmental at all about the fact I wanted my hair changing! Could not recommend this place enough, so good that I felt like telling everyone I passed in the streets of Manchester to go and visit!! Peace and love, thank you!
I came to Palace Barbours after my mate recommended to me as well as all the positive feedback. The barbour, David, was really welcoming and answered any questions I had as it was my first time getting a mullet. The atmosphere was lovely and I had a great time. I included a before and after image below as well! Would definitely recommend!
i got my hair cut here recently and omg! it had been over a year since my last cut, since my last hairdresser stopped serving me. there wasn't any wait time, and i got a super fun haircut which styles a few ways! the guy cutting it was fun to talk with and i even got a haribo tangfastic :D my self confidence is doubled after this amazing haircut! thanks :
