Walked into City barbers tonight just before closing time for the first time. Arie has done a fantastic job. Exactly as I asked. 0 skin fade. Feeling fresh. Would highly recommend to all. Be sure to check out his insta @AriebarberServicesCustom cut
One barber was off and forgot to mark himself out, so they were double booked all morning. Jimmy, however, had it under control and was able to fit me in and out the door again after only a half an hour wait from my appointment time. Thanks to the gent who let me go in front as I had a train to catch. Good luck with your Canada plans, Jimmy! Cheers

Literally one of the worst hair cut experiences I’ve ever had. Went in for the simplest of tidy ups and left with a massive chunk of my hair coming out. I’ve been growing it for over four years. Cut lasted less than 10 minutes and was charged £15 and didn’t even have the courtesy of wiping the hair off my face. This guy had no idea what he was doing and should not be cutting hair.

I'm not in the habit of leaving negative reviews, as I understand there can be 'off' days or just a bad experience, but on this occasion I'll make an exception due to feeling ripped off and taken the p*ss of. Firstly I asked for a head shave and beard trim, I have quite a full beard and just wanted it neatened up. Mohammad was assigned to me and shaved my head with a trimmer on 0. Firstly the trimmer is something I have at home, I actually think the one in the shop was of a much cheaper quality. I could have done this myself. Though the beard is where it gets really bad, he shaved off my moustache, not something I asked for or wanted, he faded the sides down way too short and left the chin beard way too long in comparison, and on the cheeks and neck the lines were very uneven, jagged lines down my cheeks, and the cut generally all over was uneven and straggly. I can't find a positive thing to say. I was asked what I thought at the end, but I couldn't bring myself to say anything because the level of work was so bad I didn't want him to try and rectify only to make it worse. There was no skill. When I tried to pay by card I was told they only accept cash, I didn't have cash on me for £23, which is very steep for what he actually did, given he spent around 15 mins max overall on me. I was asked to transfer money to his bank card, and then he asked to take a screenshot of the transaction. Something that I didn't feel comfortable with at all, but had no choice. Avoid this barbers if you want to be treated well or get what you want. Not good service, not a skilled cut, not a fair price. Once home I tried to sort out my beard but it was so bad I couldn't really fix it, so either I shave it all off or wait for it to grow out again, and I paid for this hence feeling taken the p*ss of. Not good.
