This was my first visit and Wow, What An Gem of a place! Such a warm polite welcome. My food was absolutely amazing!! I had a set menu for £10.99 and wow just look at it! The fish was beautiful! I’ll not be eating it else where, cooked to perfection. Looking forward to my next visit.
Stunning location, nicely refurbished. Very attentive staff. Food delicious and good price. Had a toast turkey and roast beef dinners. Highly recommend. Car park nearby will be back to try something else
Lovely food. The gentleman, liam, who was serving was absolutely amazing. Seemed like he was everywhere at once helping all parts of the service. Would recommend to anyone. Beautiful inside, lovely atmosphere.
Beautiful views, waitresses so attentive, fantastic afternoon by the river, food lovely, what more could you ask?Don't understand negative reviews, had a wonderful afternoon. Maybe new management? Loads of outside seating.very chilled atmosphere. Couple of jet-skiers pulled up for refreshment then went back on river, all very relaxed, happy customer.
The food is delicious although on our visit service was appalling. We paid for 2 hours parking but took so long to get food we needed to pay for more. No communication from the front of house team until we asked. Will return on a day I've got nothing else on to sample more of the menuFood: 5/5
Went for Christmas day dinner. Food was okay, but service was a bit slow. But generally good atmosphere, and imagine it is great in the summer given its Riverside location.Food: 4/5
Great atmosphere, lovely staff, good food, I'm now reviewing again, visited again on Sat 27th August was really disappointed with the food for what they charge you don't get much, the burger was very small and got bout 8 chips in a pot,
I Held my wedding reception at the Command house on June 6th. Shannon who runs events was exceptional, very down to detail, from set up to dinner orders. All the staff on the day were excellent and very accomodating. Thank you for making our day even better
Absolutely ridiculous food is over priced and not worth it. So I went three weeks ago completely messed me around with my steaks. Mine was cook perfectly my son's meant to medium rare was so over done if you dropped it it would have broken the plate. The lady behind the bar amazing the line manager and kitchen words have lost me. She was more excited at the fact she got to tell her boyfriend off then allow my son and myself to eat a meal at the same time. Which didn't happen. Went again today ordered pork belly pathetic looking plate not worth the £12.99 that I paid. Also took forever to get the plates cleared and my son's dessert to come which was initially wrong. The pub is good for sun not food.
Had a lovely meal at The Command House on a Wednesday evening. Despite the pub being pretty quiet, the food was all very well prepared and served hot. Service was excellent and never felt rushed at all. Great choice of drinks at the bar and everything very reasonably priced. The staff checked everything was good with the food on every course and regularly took drink orders to keep the glasses topped up. Took advantage of their set menu of £16 for 3 courses. Plenty of choice with some supplemental charges for some dishes, but even these were very fair and only a couple of pound. Will definitely return in the New Year and looks like it would be a great venue on a hot summer day with loads of seating out on the river front of the Medway.
