Have tried to phone the Hanley branch on the 0345 number and also the branch telephone number, for almost an hour, no answer on either number. Absolutely shocking customer service. The staff are friendly enough in branch perhaps this should be relayed to the staff answering the telephones
Had my account blocked I was told that I was using it for a business account which I wasn’t rang the head office to explain my action only to be told they understood that no further action would be taken behind my back they closed my account down cannot get access to my own money
Terrible service on the phone. I am just trying to make an appointment at a branch. Have rang on three occasions at different times of the day. Have had to wait more than 25 minutes each time before giving up. You cannot phone the branch direct. Will need to make an extra trip to town just to make an appointment on another day. Good staff in branch, but shocking service via phone.
Absolutely terrible customer service. Been ringing the Hanley branch all day to try & arrange a withdrawal from our account. We live in Alton & since they've closed the Blythe Bridge & also the Longton branch. It means we have to travel over 12 miles one way to access our savings. As far as I'm aware there's a limit on daily withdrawals so thought that we'd phone & arrange to withdraw X amount in one trip, rather than make several journeys. How silly were we to think that a member of staff would actually answer the phone. Disgusted that they make it so difficult for anyone to access their money..
Absolutely wonderful job they did. Thought will stay ages in queue when 1 of workers came out asking if everyone will need see somebody in bank. Only had check so basically she asked me give account number and check. Took me couple minutes do that. Perfect.
Absolutely dreadful customer service at the Hanley branch. My partner and I went in to open a joint current account with a lady called Emma. The ID my partner provided wasn't sufficient fair enough, and so he took in another piece of ID a few days later. We waited and heard nothing at all. We sent 2 emails and also telephoned and left messages as we had a completion date for our new home and needed a joint account opening...still no email or call back. In the end we felt like they didn't want our business so have gone to Lloyds who have been 100% more helpful and professional. Plus....when you telephone the branch nobody picks up the phone!! Dreadful - I strongly do not recommend.
Been with the Co op for years now and wouldn't change.
staff at Newcastle and hanley you cant fault but the co op bank is a night mare yet again I cant log on to internet bank have had to make the journey 5 times now to sort out in branch been waiting 25 mins on the phone its quicker to go to the cash machine to check something not my choice to use this bank and would never recommend them
Nice friendly staff there to help, which is always better than having machine's
this is a joke queing for over 20 mins to withdraw money out. this is all due to them closing our local branches. so now we have to travel into a city centre pay for parking and wait forever
