My grandmother and I came here for lunch. We were greatly disappointed with the Hunters Chicken - it was overcooked and dry, it had had the same dehydrated flavour and texture of microwaved food. I sampled some of this chicken and nearly chocked on it. You couldn't swallow this chicken without taking a sip of your drink. We raised our concerns to the waitress in hopes she would assist; instead of helping she tried her best to argue that the chicken was fine.... and cut up the chicken in front of us and all the other customers!!! She had taken our food and was cutting it up and bits and then returned it to us to eat. Eww and rude! We informed her we'd be writing a review to which she apathetically replied "That's fine". To add insult to injury we had to pay for the chicken she had tampered with, and didn't eat. We were offered nothing in redemption in the poor experience or quality of food. It seems all the food here is microwaved. We won't be coming again. We can microwave our food at home without the nuisance of sarcastic staff touching our food, thanks.

Nice pub / restaurant that has an old inn exterior and an interior that's clean and reasonably well presented. The staff were friendly enough and quite helpful. The food was OK - good standard fayre without trying too hard. If you find it on your journey you'll enjoy it, but this isn't a place to go out of your way for.

We went here for Lunch but was made to feel so unwelcome that we left without ordering anything. As we had not booked a table we were sat in what they termed the Bar Area. This was effectively an empty room with no bar or furnishings except tables and chairs. Not wanting to be completely negative we will visit again in about 3 or 4 years, perhaps.
