Cozy place. Good menu. Drink+starter = £10.

Well managed during coving.  Fabulous award winning pie and Doom Bar bitter.  Little courtyard oasis outside, quaint inside. Great service and welcomes dogs

First trip to the pub since they have reopened. Met at the door and seated at a clean table by a friendly chap. Shortly after I sat down Joe took our drinks order and it came out so fast. Great pub and exceptional service in these unusual times! Highly recommended!

Oldy worldy place 16th century. Great food, a good selection of beers. Covid safe had a lovely evening here. Friendly staff.

Nestled down a back alley, The Chequers feels like the perfect olde worlde place to sink a well-earned pint after a day exploring Oxford. We didn't have food but the drinks were well priced. A point off for the slow table service, which seems to be the norm in COVID restricted pubs these days.

Had a wonderful time here great calm atmosphere, followed guidelines perfectly and service was impeccable! Food is delish definitely worth another visit
