Visited Oxford recently and went in here for quick drinks and food. No food on but stayed for a few bevvies. lovely historical pub. Very clean and great hosts
Really loved the digital free atmosphere enforced at the pub. Also the steak ale pies were amazing.
Sam Smiths pub, so great if you like the traditional, no tech allowed sort of place. This one has lots to see, unique ceilings, cut glass, old fittings and wooden flooring.
Lovely building, clean, barmaid/manager was a delight, very friendly and a credit to the place. Only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that for a Sam Smiths pub it's very expensive, was expecting pay a bit less than the surrounding pubs, sadly it's pretty much exactly same.
Great food and friendly service although I feel that the only waiter working was a bit overwhelmed, which is completely understandable. Worth the price.
Prob wasn't the best time to be there would have been better if they were allowed more customers to add atmosphere.
This pub used to smell of wee, but we still went. Now they've done it up and it's lovely and smart, but we still love it.
The food was great! The ambience was amazing and exactly what I was looking for - quintessentially British. The crowd was also keeping the bar going! Highly recommend this place for a very nice experience.
Beautiful pub. Extremely friendly atmosphere. Organic ginger beer and local cider.a treat. The Sunday lunch looked good not vegan but I bet the chef would have rustled something up, traditional Yorkshires were huge. Worth a visit for the decor, drinks, dishes or delightful company.
