Story

Well established, family run Cheese Shop and Eatery based in the Cathedral Quarter of Lincoln, specialising in farmhouse, artisan and local cheeses. We send gift packs and bespoke selections of cheese by mail order and offer a wide range of cheese accessories and accompaniments. We have a carefully chosen range of wines to complement our cheeses and serve a select menu of seasonal cheese dishes & platters.

Great range of cheeses and such knowledgeable and passionate staff when it comes to their products too. Meals in the cafe are great as well. Can't recommend them highly enough.

I recently ordered a Solo selection to be delivered to Southampton for my son's birthday (he's a cheese fan). The order process and communication from the company was great. Unfortunately they were slightly let down by their delivery courier so the delivery day was missed. But this wasn't the fault of the Cheese Society and it was very quickly rectified and my son is very happy with it 👍👍 I must mention Lucie who was a great help with sorting it all out. Definitely recommended.

A cheese heads paradise! Great selection. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. No problem with try before you buy.

Excellent food, excellent cheese and amazing service. We asked for similar places to visit to eat for dinner and lunch over the next few days and we were given a list of about 10 places that the team thought we would like. Oh, and the mac & cheese - no words.

Although open only at lunchtime, the quality of food is second to none. Beware it is popular. Tables cannot be booked. It is worth the wait! Still fabulous after all these years.
