Welcome to the Official Facebook Page for The Chartwell Private Hospital.
We provide a Community Endoscopy Service as well as DAY STAY Procedures and Outpatient Clinics in the specialities of Gynaecology, ENT, Urology, Cardiac and Carpal Tunnel. We also accept NHS Patients for all of our services except Cardiac.

We also have a state of the art Diagnostic Suite which has the facilities for MRI, CT scans, Ultrasound and we are currently working on providing X-ray services.

My daughter had Allurian balloon and it failed causing significant pain and a bowel and bladder blockage which needed the balloon removed after only a few days. Their aftercare service was non existence and would only remove if she paid over £2000 . Her local hospital looked after her and there was quite a wait as no doctor was available who could remove it. They kept on bed rest fluid drips and morphine until it was removed 6 days later.nThe Chartwell wouldn't reimburse her even though it was thought to be a faulty implant only offered a replacement. She waited six weeks and against our warning had it done again. Needless to say less than 3 days she was back in hospital in incredible pain and advised to have it removed. We believe they are using faulty implants or inexperienced doctors are implanting it. Again they wanted paying to remove it
Today I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. From start to finish this experience has been first class. The care and diligence shown by the whole team, from the point of initial consultation through to the actual procedures today has been first class.nnHuge and sincere gratitude to Dr Jarvis and his excellent team.
Was referred here by my GP for a treatment they seemingly do not do, instead of telling me that, they contacted me and asked me to come for a totally unnecessary procedure I didn't need, lady on the phone couldn't understand me when I was asking why I needed it, so I rang back twice and was told somebody would get back to me. Nobody ever got back to me.nnSo I'll be spending tomorrow morning playing the phone line lottery at my GP's again....
Paid £100 extra to get mri results in two days. Didn’t get them for almost a week. This was over a month ago. All emails, phone calls and personal visits are totally ignored. The two day promise just seems like a scam
Absolute awful experience here. I arrived 20 minutes 10.30am prior to my procedure time as requested. 1 hour had passed before i was told there would be a delay because of an emergency not that i saw any emergency behaviour After 2 hours i was asked to give my details, expecting to the go in to prepare for my procedure. However, i was then told to go back downstairs to the waiting room as there was no room upstairs. At 12.50 i was put into an even smaller room and change into paper underwear and gown. There i sat shivering for 45 minutes until i had had enough. I walked around the hospital unable to find anyone until i walked into the staff room and found the doctor, all the nurses and even office staff, stuffing their faces with their lunch, while i had been sitting there shivering and had no food for over 27 hours. Obviously my appearance in my paper underwear shocked them and they said i should not be in there. I replied no of course not i should have been at home by now after having a bloody procedure. With that they got off their butts and rushed through my procedure. Surprise surprise they found nothing major, even though i am still suffering the same issues. To think tax payers are paying these private hospitals for this kind of treatment. Well all i can say is i will never attend this hospital again.
