By far the best surgery we've been registered with. Let's be honest, all surgeries have their issues with answering calls and giving appointments, but balance that against the amount of patients they have registered Vs doctors and nursing staff - wait times are often longer than we'd like. But the staff will always try to fix issues and whenever I've given constructive, polite and sensible feedback to the practice manager Tracey, it has always been acted on. Pointless and unhelpful moaning isn't productive and doesn't fix issues - give them something to work to and they will. I've had my own issues with appointments, but I accept it's just down to appointment slots and demand. Well done team Oaklands Surgery, keep striving to be better, it is working!!
Can't be bothered to answer the phones it seems. My partner is on the ph waiting to get through right now . She has been on the phone holding for over an hour and 25 mins of that she is apparently number 1 in the queue! .last rime I rang the surgery I rang from the car in Southend 10 miles away I was on hold all the way from Southend to canvey ,finally actually walked in to the surgery where there was only one receptionist talking on the phone with no effort to hurry to answer the next call. I am now standing in front of the receptionist still on hold !!!!! Unacceptable
Absolutely mess. I have been waiting over an hour for them to print a letter. Unhelpful reception who just said doctor has to do it and does not know when. Sitting here for this hour I have heard many people complain. Is this the new nhs
Fantastic service today. Got booked in for an afternoon appointment. Lovely doctor. Very thorough. Arranged tests, sent prescription through to my pharmacy. I'm very impressed, considering how things have been since covid. Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Well done.
Every single time I have attempted to ring in to speak to a receptionist the phone never gets answered. I have been on hold for just under 2 hours being told I’m a caller number 1 in the queue. This has happened on 2 previous times that I have tried to call to speak to a receptionist also. At this point I would say they just ignore the phone once the morning gets to a certain point. This surgery is by far the worse surgery i have ever used and I would highly recommend registering else where. I prime example of the struggles of the NHS sector. Bad management, lack of training regarding receptionists with zero empathy for people who are genuinely unwell. You get through and it feels as if they are doing you a favour by answering the phone. Avoid!
I would just like to say a big thankyou too my doctor for all the help she is giving me. I would also like to thank the receptionist's who have shown a lot of care in the way they have dealt with me. It a shame they don't get recognised enough for the good they do.
In times when the N.H.S is under immense pressure to provide a service I can honestly say I have always found the Doctors and Nurses all to be very kind and helpful. The reception staff are always polite and do their best to help. Yes I have to wait for a routine appointment but this seems to be the norm at most surgeries.
I have just registered with in the last 2years and had a couple of phone conversation with doctor they are very helpful and always listen help me would recommend this practice
Long waiting times, weeks to get an appointment, phone calls just ring out to long tone and you have to call back. Once you get to see the doctor or nurse it's ok but have had several last minute cancelled appointments with rescheduling over a week later. I dread calling this place.
Tried calling 8.05am. 13 in queue and got through at 8.13am not bad however all appointments gone. Asked what is the matter I answer ear infection I believe been coping with pain killers for couple weeks receptionist answers try at 8am tomorrow!!! Too many patients too few drs I would say.
