I’ve just gone to book an appt and it says I can’t as I need to now do it online. But I need to visit the surgery with ID to do this. Where was the notice regarding this? And email? A letter? To give people with the opportunity to do this prior to being ill?nnHow can I be able to request prescriptions online where I have no contact with the doctor but this not be sufficient to the allow me to transition to the new booking system without needing to provide ID again?nnHow on earth do elderly and vulnerable people access this service? I hope the surgery is providing these people with LOTS of support. It’s putting many patients in danger who may end up leaving their health concerns untreated.
I just answered 20 questions to book my little girl an appointment!! How on earth would an elderly person cope with this?nThey then sent confirmation and advice to my partner's mobile addressing it to my young daughter! Obviously being totally oblivious to the fact she is unable to read yet...nWhoever thought of this ingenious idea to take away phone appointments is a bloody genius....
Absolutely shocking that this Surgery will no longer book appointments via calls to the receptionist. My daughter is asthmatic and has a chest infection and it's incredibly frustrating & time consuming when ill, having to fill in so many questions online when a simple call would take a fraction of the time. What on earth are the elderly meant to do or those without access to the internet?
This surgery needs to understand that not everyone has access to the internet, and also may not have anyone to help bring them to the surgery, or put prescriptions in for them or indeed email for them. Taking away the telephone prescription ordering is totally unacceptable. They don’t care about elderly patients and don’t seem to want to care for them
What has happened, how can elderly people book appointments if they don't have the internet. It's got way too complicated on the new site. Takes far too long.
