Stopped off for breakfast before catching the ferry. Lovely place, friendly staff, real stove and nice food too. Could be easily missed if you don’t know it’s there. We only found out as the lady in the bakery up the road pointed us to it as we wanted a sit down breakfast and a brew. Worth a visit. Unsure of the rooms as we didn’t stay but if the rest is anything to go by I’m sure they will be on point!
I love the Ceilidh Place. Unfussy, tasty homemade food, nice staff and reliable year after year - which is no small thing. One of my favourite places in ScotlandService: 5/5
We had a evening meal at Ceildh Place in Ullapool while traveling through recently. The meal was delicious, however when you have staff hovering around while enjoying your meals it us a bit disconcerting to say the least. We live in New Zealand and dogs are not permitted in restaurants...however they are in Scotland and we accepted this. What is quite off putting is watching members of staff patting a dog before your meal is served or seeing a staff member rub his hand through his hair before taking a meal to a customer..At least gloves could be worn. As mentioned an enjoyable meal but I think staff need to be spoken to about personal hygiene and stop hovering virtually over diners like flies!!!!!!
A lovely warm welcome, ĺog burning stove was so nice! Food took a while to come out.. I wasn't so keen on the potato scones seems very floury.. but it was OK.. looked really nice.. £29 for 2 breakfast and 2 warm drinks.Service: 5/5
This is a place that we passed every time we visited Ullapool, so don't make the same mistake and go in for a bite to eat etc and you won't be disappointed, as the food is scrumptious, and the staff really friendly. Great pub food. We'll definitely be back.
I came here for dinner with my partner and it was lovely. Lots of local seafood on the daily specials hand dived scallops, langoustine from Lochbroom. The starters and mains were delicious and good portions. The service was really great and the atmosphere was warm and bustling. Highly recommendService: 5/5
A good place to eat. The Haddock was decent and the sauces just as well, crispy fries on top. The beer selection was quite good as well. I would recommend this as a good place to have a beer and grab a snack.
Had a great dinner after a big day in the hills. Got drenched on the way, but the meal had everything what poor soul needs at this time. And a pint was gooood! Apparently they had live music, however, my party did not want to stay any longer so sadly had to leave, but live music is a big plus to the place!Service: 5/5
We had dinner on Monday evening after a long drive up in a motorhome. We were delayed leaving Glasgow and had to rearrange our table booking by 1.5hrs. This was easily accommodated by the staff for us. We actually arrived 45mins instead of 90mins late. Again, no problem. We were sat down with drinks almost straightaway. My wife is coeliac and there was a good variety of gf meals for her to choose from. Food was good and the atmosphere was busy and lively for a Monday evening. This was the second time we have eaten at the Ceilidh Place and we really like the relaxed atmosphere and surroundings. To top off our evening, as we had arrived in Ullapool in a rush and after the shops had closed we weren’t able to buy any milk. We were given a litre by the team as we left. Great work!
Me and my pal Rufus were welcomed in and our drinks were taken to us by a friendly member of the FOH team. The tea was a great accomplishment to my yellow split pea soup. His bowl of water was fresh and greatly received. Overall a fantastic afternoon lunch had, will be returning. Thank you to the team Food & drinks: Hearty, warming.
