Just went for beers and dinner. Real ales were well kept, staff very friendly and helpful, and food filling, tasty and well priced. We visited just after their beer festival so they had 11 pumps, but usually just have four. The Lost in Mosaic was the best beer of our trip!

The Morefield had a reputation for excellent food 20 years ago, and this still stands. If you like seafood the restaurant is thoroughly recommend. Don't be put off by the "motel" in the name.

very reasonable price, rooms are a bit cold, heating helps but non in bathroom, helpful hint, keep the bathroom door open and heating on, will help heat up the room. staff are friendly and helpful, good stop over.

Depressing place and food Let’s say that, at least, it’s as DEPRESSING as shown on the pictures…! But we were recommended to go there by our host (…), so we did. The place is pretty DARK inside, even though WITHOUT the CHARM of a real pub. We stayed in the verandah then, certainly brighter, but whose furniture (and fitted carpet) was such AN EYESORE! We had “Grilled salmon with orange’s honey sauce”: IT WAS LIKE EATING AT IKEA… BUT SADDER. Service: minimum required. Price per value (all above considered): high.
