Myself and my 2yr old daughter had a father daughter date today here whilst mumma was working from home and the food was outstanding.nnThe staff were super friendly and loved the interior decor too. Superb place for food and it was good to see on a Thursday afternoon it was a popular place to eat.nnThe food was super fresh and cooked just perfectly. The portion sizing was just right. Not to much and not too little. Left both of us with a smile on our faces as she sang out the door and we walked back to the car.nnNow one of our favourite food places in Ullapool
We did a 2-week Scottish road trip, and my husband booked us in here expecting a treat - it was the most expensive hotel of the 2 week trip.nSadly, the place is really disorganised and weren't expecting us, despite being a long-standing booking. The room is old and tired and smells of smoke. The bathroom is tiny and the window is covered in black mould. The view from the bedroom was great, but the windows were jammed shut, so the room really heated up in the sun.nThere is no advertised 'restaurant' just a pub bar with no real ale that does food, and they couldn't cater for everyone there as they didn't have the staff.nFrankly, for £145 a night, I would expect a bloody good cooked breakfast, but they only offer a 'continental' one. HOWEVER, when we went down for it well within time, the cleaner told us that there was NO breakfast, it was shut, and to speak to the manager!nThere is a place for pubs like this that do accommodation only, but not when they advertised falsely, and charge for meals they they don't deliver!nThis one's price is pitched way above the market and is far too expensive for what they offer. £70 per night would be the right price point. It's pretty much just a hostel.
Great location with views down Loch Broom towards the Cairngorms. Room small but adequate. Food good, recommend the mussels, a roaring fire in the pub would have created the perfect ambience. A beer on the harbour wall across the road is a must do.
We had an early dinner on a cold, wet and windy April evening. Soufflé was excellent. Fish pie very good. Service friendly. Wish they had the fire lit as that would have made it atmosphere wise.
This cute little pub had some tasty snacks! The crab soufflé was great and the mussels were so fresh! We had them with curry sauce, which I probably wouldn’t order again but, I think I keep expecting real curry sauce in Scotland but, it’s just curry powder and milk everywhere. Not an issue with this pub, just a weird different cultural thing imo.
