Great beer, friendly service, good atmosphere and kid friendly. Sunday roasts not amazing if I’m honest - over seasoned with salty rubs and a gravy that must have used a field’s worth of thyme, so very hard to comment on the quality of ingredients. Comes with a nice cauliflower cheese though. Will be back and absolutely would recommend, just maybe not for a roast.
Went for the first time a few weeks ago. No longer the old man's pub .. now proper space/ gastro ISH feel, but with books and crannies to give it some style. They have packed in small tables so be ready for small seats and table legs in your way at the same time. If they can get some new tables it might be more comfy. If you go on a Sunday you need to book! Worth a go.
I recently moved to Wandsworth and I couldn't be happier to find such a nice local pub just 2 min walk from my flat. The pub style is really unique, great beers and very good Sunday roast and burgers. If you live in the area or pass by, this is definitely a must for a pint on the go or even two!.

Lovely English pub, popped in for a drink and rest while walking the Thames walk. Good choice of beers and wine, had a glass of Marlborough NZ Sauv Blanc which was great! Comfy lounge chairs to relax back in, friendly, efficient service.
We recently had our engagement party in the Lions Den upstairs at The Cats Back. The space was incredible, already comes beautifully decorated and the staff are happy for you to add your own too. We had some home-made wood-fired pizzas for everyone, which were delicious and went down a treat. Craig was so friendly, inviting and helpful from the moment we made contact, and really made us excited for the party. He could not have been more obliging. His staff on the night looking after us were also really professional, so kind and very helpful. It was all excellent value. Couldn't recommend it more for an intimate gathering, party etc ... We held my 40th birthday at The Cat’s Back and it was unbelievable. Craig and the team could not have been more welcoming and the pub was set up beautifully for us. All of our friends and family had a fantastic time and have been raving about the venue since. We also had party food provided and again it was great. Honestly don’t have a bad word to say about the place!
