Highly recommended, great food, lovely pub & amazing staff

What can I say, the friendliest landlords going!  A long time since we last entered this wonderful pub, but time has improved the experience! Great beers, wines and choice of foods.  The skate was cooked to perfection!  Very good atmosphere, plenty of banter behind the bar made it a fun place to be. Just a shame that we live so far away! Thank you all again!

Sunday lunch for a reasonably large party. Was greeted warmly by the barman guv'nor? and other staff equally friendly and efficient. Food was lovely, local beers excellent too. Well worth seeking out.

What a great find... A nice simple pub grub menu, proper food... The staff there are brilliant, they looked after us so well including our 4 legged friend.. we will certainly return and will definitely recommend you to our friends. Thank you.

We had our first visit with friends last night, they managed to fit 6 of us in even though they were incredibly busy and the wonderful staff made us feel very welcome. The food was lovely, you get a lot for your money and there’s something for everyone. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

First time here for a Christmas lunch. Really well organised, food was lovely and we all enjoyed it. Would recommend!

Always a friendly welcome from behind the bar . Good selection of real ales. Great food but limited kitchen open hours .

I used to love coming here with my Son and his dog, but we have not had the chance since before the first lockdown! So we walked on the Soggy Levels and had a lunch afterwards. The dog was made to feel welcome with a tickle and a treat and the food was excellent. The menu is slightly restricted on Sundays, so I did not have the burger I was geared up for, but we were both delighted with the Steak, ale and mushroom Pie home made. It was great to be back!!
