What a great addition to the village. The food we had was great and the restaurant was cleverly decorated to resemble a Mediterranean street scene Excellent craft ale on tap too . We never had the pizza, but saw others dining in and they looked amazing. Two lovely courses left us too full for dessert and we're very reasonably priced
Had the Bouillabaisse at lunch today. Perfection. Reminded me so much of the fish stews of Marseille. The restaurant has a perfect ambiance of the South of France. Stefan and Adrianna were extremely attentive adding to what was a lovely experience. It will become a local for me and I like forward to trying many of the other dishes. A fantastic addition and I wish Stefan and his business partner every success.
At last! A quality local restaurant . Great, authentic French food . Loved the menu: I had the Boullibasse fish stew, and my wife had the giant prawns in a green herb and caper sauce - we both loved it! Loved the craft beer selection! Will definitely be back and would recommend everyone to try it. Had excellent service from Adriana.
Wow what a find, outstanding food for reasonable cost. Small but adventurous menu with something to suit the whole family. The staff were very attentive and helpful. We have already booked our next visit and I can't wait. Well done all at Massilia Bay and thanks
We tried this restaurant tonight for the first time and had a lovely meal. We were slightly confused at the menu, is it French, Italian or Greek? My constructive advice would be is to choose one or at most two and expand your menu. The dishes we had were lovely and were freshly cooked, so credit due to the chef. But I have to say that the star of the night for us was the lovely Ariana , she’s a credit to your restaurant and was just so friendly. We’ll be back!!
We had a fabulous evening at the restaurant. The food with its southern French emphasis was excellent, the.ambiance really relaxing and the service from Adriana and her colleagues just great - including lots of special attention they paid to the toddler in our party! A lovely experience. - we recommend it strongly! Kid-friendliness: Our 2-year-old granddaughter loved the food and special touches from the staff! Parking: The car park is just next to the restaurant.
My partner & I were in the Bay over the weekend & were really looking forward to trying Massilia with friends that live in the Bay. I regrettably have to say the food wasn’t great. The seafood spaghetti was either precooked/reheated or overcooked & swimming in a watery broth, the pizza was soggy & my partner’s chicken dish was more like a soup. As I said to a lady manager on the night, we would really want them to succeed for themselves & for the Bay but they need to decide what they are… French/Italian/Mexican/Spanish ?!… & stick to one cuisine, cook simple & cook properly to establish themselves. The restaurant has great space & in a prime position in the Bay & I truly hope they will take comments such as these on board.
What a great addition to the Bay! Just enjoyed a great evening with wonderful food and friends. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful and service was prompt and attentive! I would be among the first to recommend the Massilia to everyone.and will soon be eating there again.
Very welcoming and dog friendly. My husband had a pizza which was good. My main was Chicken Provençal which was supposed to come with steamed green beans, duck fat roast potatoes and cold veg. On the menu it states that all mains come with these sides. I was given a bowl with a small chicken thigh and new potatoes and carrots/beans cooked to mush, basic stew with no taste. Expensive experience!!
Great host! Waitress and owner were so lovely and helpful. Made the time to stop and talk to us, explained the back ground story. Really felt welcome. Highly recommend!
