Needed a break after a few tough years so booked for the night Even though I am local. The staff extremely helpful could not do enough room immaculate and food amazing will repeat my stay without a shadow of a doubt thank you for a very relaxing stay
Just spent 3 nights here. Service was good, very helpful reception staff. Rooms were very basic and the walls were paper thin so could here every noise from next door. Paying £10.95 a night to park in the hotel carpark is ridiculous. The worst thing, though not the hotels fault was the constant noise from the drunk/ drugged idiots in the square outside every evening from 4pm until 11:30pm. Entertaining if you like to watch drug deals and fights
My son and I.had a cream tea there. My son had come from.America so it was kind of special.he can't get a cream tea where he lives and he said he will travel 8,500 miles for a Castle cream tea nIt was a shame we couldn't book the restaurant for an afternoon tea but it was not availablenThe tea was fine but as I have said before, it was a bit short of cream and not enough for 4 scones.nMy son hopes to be back sometime in the not too distant future so we will be back for another English cream tea.nYour waitresses are lovely and kind. I hope we can book in the restaurant next time as the bar was quite noisy.nThank you
Stayed for a couple of nights for a wedding and can't praise the staff enough. They were attentive and always on hand. The room was amazing and overlooked the parking and square, so was quiet. The breakfast was buffet style or you could order something different and again, very helpful and pleasant staff.
Delicious high tea offering vegan options! The deserts were delicious and so were the sandwiches!! The grounds were also lovely to walk along.
